Delphinad
Delphinad was described as "the greatest city ever to exist" on Auroria. At its height, it was home to millions of people representing diverse faiths and races. A monarchy ruled officially, though practical governance was handled by various factions controlling different city sectors. The city's most famous institution was the Great Library, where the twelve heroes' expedition began.
The Great Library
The Great Library of Delphinad was the largest repository of knowledge in Erenor. Scholars from across the continents traveled there to study magic, history, and the natural world. It was here that the twelve heroes gathered roughly 2,000 years before the present day and formed the Library Expedition to the Garden.

The Ayanad Library
Unknown to most, a secret magical duplicate of the Great Library existed in a parallel dimension called Ayanad, accessible only to mages. The real high-level magical research happened at Ayanad, not the public library. This parallel copy survives to the present day, manifesting at Diamond Shores on Auroria, and emits a curse that poses a continuing threat to Erenor.
Destruction of the Great Library
The Great Library was destroyed in a clash between two of the twelve heroes after their transformation. Ollo, who had merged with Shatigon (God of Iron Walls and Abundance), desperately wanted the Library's contents because he sought the knowledge to turn back time and prevent his father's death. Inoch, who had merged with Haje (God of Sealed Doors), forbade him access, believing the knowledge was too dangerous.
The resulting battle between the followers of Shatigon and Haje destroyed the library and much of the surrounding city. The accumulated knowledge of the ancient world was largely lost. The fragments that survived became the basis for the religions and histories of the southern civilizations founded after the refugees fled Auroria.
In the original ArcheAge
Ruins of Delphinad could be found on Auroria in the original game. The Delphinad Ghost Ship was one of the game's world boss encounters, a spectral vessel in the seas around Auroria representing a remnant of the ancient city's naval fleet. The Ayanad Library instance at Diamond Shores was a major endgame dungeon where players fought through guardians to reach crafting materials for Ayanad-tier weapons and armor, among the most powerful equipment in the game.

Delphinad tier crafting
"Delphinad" was also a high tier of crafted gear in the original game. Delphinad weapons and armor required Ayanad Library materials and extensive crafting investment, representing some of the strongest equipment available outside of regraded Mythic items.
Notable residents
Eanna Nimush - Noble daughter of the Governor of Delphinad. Later became Nui, Goddess of the Hereafter.
Lucius Quinto - Believed to have originated from Delphinad. Gained the power to change forms at will.
In ArcheAge Chronicles
The ruins of Delphinad exist on Auroria in Chronicles, overgrown and partially collapsed after centuries of abandonment. What secrets remain buried in the rubble of the Great Library is one of the narrative threads available to explorers during the Age of Pioneers.
