Kyrios is the God of Destruction and one of the most dangerous entities in the ArcheAge universe. Originally a mortal warrior named Gene Evernight, he accepted Thiol's soul fragment representing the domain of Destruction during the Library Expedition. The power consumed him entirely, and the newly manifested god wreaked havoc upon Erenor.
Catastrophe
The god Kyrios, through Gene's body, launched a war that nearly ended civilization. He killed Tahyang, the Wind God and a Firran member of the expedition. The gods Aranzeb and Inoch attempted to stop him, but Aranzeb was killed in the attempt. Nui and Inoch managed to separate Kyrios's soul from Gene's body, but the process caused a massive explosion that collapsed Auroria, destroying the ancient civilization and scattering its people across the world.
Imprisonment
Kyrios is currently trapped in an alternate dimension also called "Kyrios," a world beyond the known world. Goddess Nui is sealed with him to keep him contained, but her hold grows weaker over time. "No one can predict how strong Kyrios might become," according to the surviving texts. His prison is not a permanent solution but a slowly failing containment.
Ongoing threat
Two organizations actively work to resurrect Kyrios: the Shadow Order and the School of Arkanis. They also seek to bring back Tahyang, the Wind God killed by Kyrios. Gateways between the world and the Hereafter open unpredictably, and each opening carries the risk of weakening Nui's seal further.
Role in ArcheAge Chronicles
While Kyrios does not walk the world in the Age of Pioneers, his shadow hangs over everything. The Crimson Rift that appeared in Cinderstone Moor, the supernatural threats facing Aurorian pioneers, and the political tensions between Nuia and Haranya all connect to the unresolved aftermath of Kyrios's war. The fear that the God of Destruction might return shapes policy, religion, and personal choices across the entire world.
