Playable races
The original ArcheAge launched with four playable races divided into two factions: the Nuia Alliance (west) and the Haranya Alliance (east). Patch 3.0 added Dwarves and Warborn, bringing the total to six.
Nuia Alliance (western faction)
Nuians
Descendants of northern Auroria tribes, the Nuians named themselves after the goddess Nui who sacrificed herself to save them during the fall of Auroria. They value tradition, spirituality, and beauty. Their society is democratic, with leadership requiring candidates to prove themselves in a structure called the Labyrinth.

Nui's Blessing: 10% combat boost for 10 minutes after resurrection
Warrior Architects: Reduced construction time
Elves
One of Erenor's oldest civilizations, the Elves are secretive forest-dwellers who avoid contact with other races. They are envied for their beauty and long lifespans. Their culture holds vengeance for past defeats as the highest honor.

Dwarves
Independent and inventive, the Dwarves largely withdrew from world affairs after the Demon War. They returned to Erenor's political stage due to the resurgence of their old enemies, the Warborn. They start in Aubre Cradle.
Dwarven Artifice: Decreases Machinery production time by 30% for 5 minutes
Summon Juggernaut: Transforms into a powerful mechsuit for 5 minutes (available after a level 30 quest)
Haranya Alliance (eastern faction)
Firran
Anthropomorphic feline people indigenous to the eastern continent. Expert hunters who live close to nature. Each Firran bonds with a Snowlion companion that serves as both mount and lifelong partner. After the death of their god Tahyang, the Firran became nomadic.

Harani
Survivors in every sense, the Harani are practical, cunning, and deeply family-oriented. They are capable of both extreme heroism and ruthless pragmatism in service of their people. Empress Paltavi unified their Perinoor Empire, but it fragmented after she was discovered practicing demon worship.
Warborn
A fearsome warrior race descended from the ancient Nuon, the Warborn were once slaves to their demonic nature and slaughtered thousands. They now seek to atone for their sins. They start in a special introductory encounter before entering Sunbite Wilds.
Ravager: Transforms into a powerful alternate combat form (available after a level 30 quest)
