Grandis Molis
June 1, 2026 at 05:30 PM
Added confirmed stat block (level, HP, phase-break thresholds), Blunt-resist/Slashing-break note, Sundalan Nest guardian framing, and Somu’s Dream reappearance
Grandis Molis is a major boss in Alabaster Dawn and the third major boss of the Early Access build. It is a giant, hair-covered mole-class Nuemera (a Nyx-corrupted molerat) and serves as the guardian of the Sundalan Nest. It is fought during Chapter 2 at the Impact Site in the Aurum Plains, on the route to Sundalan. The fight is a multi-phase endurance test built around the boss burrowing underground and erupting with wide rock-and-grass attacks.

The boss dives underground and resurfaces with swiping attacks. It throws spinning projectiles that return like a boomerang, which can be parried, and it periodically protects itself with a barrier. Punish the moments immediately after it surfaces from a dive.
Grandis Molis gains an "Ultra Spin" move, surrounding itself with both rocks and giant grass at the same time while it charges across the arena. The earlier dive-and-swipe and returning-projectile attacks continue. Clear the giant grass it spawns so it does not block your movement during the charge.
The final phase increases attack frequency. The boss chains additional ground-burst sequences and adds extra underground-pursuit components onto its swipe attacks before finishing its combinations, leaving smaller safe windows. Keep healing items in reserve and prioritize parrying the telegraphed wind-ups to force stagger openings. At the Aurum Plains encounter, once the boss is worn down to a sliver of HP, the fight ends with a cinematic finisher.
Bring a ranged option for the windows when the boss is burrowed or mid-charge, and a melee weapon for the post-dive punish.
Parry the returning spinning projectiles to build break meter pressure.
Use the Divine Chakram or a sword to cut the giant grass it raises so it cannot wall you in during the Ultra Spin.
Stock Healing Bulbs and a buff dish from Cooking before entering, since Phase 3 leaves little room to recover.
Lean on Slashing weapons for stagger pressure; the boss resists Blunt, so a Hammer is a poor primary here.
