Chakram
Chakrams are the slow-projectile ranged Slashing weapon class in Alabaster Dawn. The current build ships Fain Solas as the only chakram. The throw curves back to Juno, supports object catching, and unlocks five Combat Arts.

The Chakram is one of the four ranged Divine weapon classes in Alabaster Dawn. The current build ships a single chakram, Fain Solas, which is also the fourth Divine weapon Juno unlocks.
Fain Solas is a ranged weapon dealing Slashing damage. Its projectiles travel slowly compared to Bogha Solas, and they curve back to Juno instead of stopping at impact, giving the chakram a different rhythm from a straight-shot crossbow.
Fain Solas is found in Koro Valley - Hollow Incline during the A Sneak Peak chronicle.
The basic chakram attack throws a projectile that moves forward in a straight line and then curves back to Juno, including following her if she has moved. Without a target lock, the chakram's range is short, but locking on extends it considerably.
The chakram has a limited ability to bump around obstacles, letting it reach some targets that would otherwise be blocked from line of sight.
The chakram has a special interaction with small objects (currently just Nyx Lumps). With the attack key pressed and a target locked while aiming, the chakram picks up the object and stays in place. Throwing it again moves the object with it, opening positioning options that Juno cannot reach on foot.
Five Combat Arts unlock through Fain Solas's Growth Chart at 1 Growth Point each.
Combat Art | Effect |
|---|---|
Breaking Gust | Charged shot. Holding aim prepares a larger and more damaging chakram throw. |
Spheral Breeze | Auto Shot. Juno spins the chakram around herself at medium range, dealing area damage. |
Stormy Embrace | Charged Auto Shot. Releases a wide, slow-moving chakram that does not return and can hit multiple times. Strong against grouped distant enemies. |
Swirly Gale | Auto Combo Attack. Pressed after Spheral Breeze, chains a wider and faster spin attack on the end. |
Whirling Zephyr | Hold variant after Spheral Breeze. Chains two attacks: a large faster spin and a very wide spin with high knockback. |
Minor Gem Slot: one node for 1 GP. Currently inactive because no minor weapon gems can be obtained.
Perfect Charge: damage multiplier 25% on Breaking Gust when timed at the end of the charge. Does not affect the charged Auto Shot Combat Arts. Successful timing produces dark shadow effects on the projectile and Juno.
In the v0.0.4 demo, Fain Solas was automatically obtained at the start of the Trial of Aether because its planned location was not yet accessible. The location moved to Hollow Incline once that section of Koro Valley was finished.
