Initial version (2026-10-07)
This page walks through AION 2's main screen and the windows you open most, based on the official guidebook for the Korean service (the interface page was last updated on August 13, 2026) and the Korean update notes. The global client uses the same layout, but menu names on the global client may be worded differently from the descriptive English used here.
Area | What it shows |
|---|---|
Currencies and party or force | Your currencies, each with a shortcut to where it is spent, plus the party and force icon for forming a group or checking its members |
Main functions | Subscription, shop, Daevanion, Cube, skills, journal and the full menu |
Minimap and quests | Area information and quest progress |
Chat window | Chat history and system messages; see Friends and Chat |
Preset bar | Equip a saved preset of equipment, Arcana, skills or titles |
Character info and quickslots | Level, class, item level and combat power; item and skill quickslots with auto-use, flight and mount buttons |
Key guide | The keys available in your current state: on the ground, swimming, flying, gliding or in a Shugo Festa |
Item level and combat power share one slot at the bottom centre and toggle between each other. Item level reflects your equipped gear and learned Daevanion nodes and rises with gear grade and enhancement. Combat power measures PvE strength from your stats, weighting each stat by its importance in PvE and leaving out temporary buffs from consumables and skills. Item Level and Combat Power covers both in depth.
The character window has three tabs: main stats, detailed stats, and a growth summary showing whether titles, pets, the Daevanion boards and Arcana are equipped and how far each has been collected. The main stats are the six primary stats and the ten deity stats; Character Stats explains what each one does.
The Cube is your inventory, opened with I. Gear, consumables and loot all land here.
Element | Function |
|---|---|
Equipment presets | Save up to three equipment sets and swap between them instantly; gear taken off by a swap goes back to the Cube |
Equipped gear | Your worn equipment, shown as slots or as a list |
Hide appearance | Hide the look of each equipment slot individually |
Cube slots | Owned items; more slots can be bought with currency |
Sort by type | All, by type, equipment, consumables and materials, crafting materials, and currency and other |
Move, delete, extract, sort | Item management, including extraction of unwanted gear |
Remote storage | Open your storage from anywhere while a subscription is active |
Double-tap an item, or use the equip button, to put it on or take it off. The buff list above the HP and MP bars opens an effects window with three tabs: temporary buffs and debuffs, permanent passives, and equipment effects from Theostones.
The overlay map (투명맵; descriptive name, added on the Korean service on July 22, 2026) draws the current area's terrain and paths semi-transparently over the game screen, so you can navigate without the minimap covering your view. It marks quests, shop, crafting and storage NPCs, Kibelisks, Spacetime Rifts, flight circles, dungeon entrances, field bosses and Empyrean Traces, and your party and force members; hovering over a marker shows its name, height and distance. It works in the main territories and in instanced content such as sealed dungeons, quest dungeons and party dungeons. Alt + M toggles it (July 29), and since August 12 its lock state persists after relogging, a move button lets you drag it anywhere, and towns and hunting grounds have their own markers.
The Navigator is a level-by-level guide to what to do next. It lists the content suited to each level with an icon, and selecting an entry shows a short guide, its main rewards and a shortcut to it.
The personal DPS meter (전투력 측정기; NCsoft's English announcement called it, tentatively, Combat Analysis) opens from the main menu or with Ctrl + X. It has a compact mode and a detailed mode with per-skill damage, adjustable transparency, and can be dragged anywhere. It can measure only the selected target or all targets, and shows total combat time, DPS and total damage dealt. It was added on the Korean service on April 1, 2026, and since July 1, 2026 it keeps up to 100 measurements. Macros and Third-Party Programs covers NCsoft's position on third-party meters.
The ranking window shows the top three players on your server in each ranked content type, with a link to the full table, and your own rank and expected reward in each. The guidebook (updated May 31, 2026) lists Abyss rankings, Arena of Solitude, Arena of Cooperation, Nightmare, Ascension Trial and Transcendence. Since May 27, 2026 you can click a name in a ranking list to view that character.
