Aligned names with the rest of the wiki: Submerged Life Temple
Sunken Temple of Life is a Transcendence dungeon in AION 2 and the first Transcendence content of Season 2. NCsoft announced it under this English name on February 23, 2026 and it opened on the Korean and Taiwanese service on February 25. The Korean name is 가라앉은 생명의 신전. NCsoft's January 2026 roadmap and the game client's English data call it Submerged Life Temple, the name this wiki used before.

It is a deep-sea themed dungeon where the boss Sunken Emon waits. Entry starts at item level 3,000, with higher stages asking for more.

Global service: NCsoft's global announcements name only Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis among the Transcendence dungeons, as the two dungeons of the global leaderboard event. The global client's game data, as of its September 18, 2026 snapshot, does contain this dungeon, but NCsoft has not announced it for the global service as of October 7, 2026. Everything else on this page describes the Korean and Taiwanese service.
The January 2026 roadmap promised stages 1 to 10. The dungeon shipped with four stages instead, and every later Transcendence dungeon has kept that four-stage format.
The temple introduced the Arcana part Scales and two set effects. Scales comes in three grades and is crafted from Harmonious Crystal, which is converted from crystal shards that drop in this dungeon. The two sets themselves are crafted from the existing Mysterious Crystal. The dungeon also drops Fragment: Marchutan's Trace, the material for the Daevanion Marchutan added the same day.
Set | Two-piece effect | Four-piece effect |

Frenzy (광분) | PvE Attack +50 | Boss damage amplification +5%; boss damage tolerance +10% while health is 70% or lower |
Pure Blood (순수한 피) | PvE Defense +500 | Critical damage amplification +5%; Defense +1,000 while health is 70% or lower |
NCsoft's English announcement summarised the sets by their main four-piece lines, boss damage amplification +5% and Critical Damage Boost +5%; the Korean patch note gives the full effects above.

Community strategy guides on the Korean service describe an entrance that has to be cleared, with a central pillar that sweeps a ring on higher stages; a player hit while airborne is trapped in a water bubble until an ally jumps into them. Bubbles are the temple's recurring punishment.
Alternates in-and-out area attacks with personal floor circles that trap players in bubbles.
Charges and sends waves down both sides.
In her singing phase three floor zones appear in order and explode, followed by a raid-wide blast; players move into each zone in the order it was created.
After the first song a water wall sweeps in from one side.
When she dies a waterspout carries the party onward.
Charges with a fist slam and drops rectangular zones to one side and then the other.
Moves to the centre, where four stones rotate, three red and one blue; the blue side is safe.
Below half health Pydeon jumps to the centre and spins line attacks that reverse direction.
The final boss pulls a player away and leaves a clone at their spot that hurts the further they are from it, fires projectiles in eight lanes, leaps into Screaming Storm (절규하는 폭풍), and at about half health starts Judgement of Twisted Souls (뒤틀린 영혼의 심판), where inner and outer groups collect white soul orbs before they hit the raid. See Sunken Emon.
Sunken Emon is NCsoft's English name; the other two come from the game client's English data. A statue of Sunken Emon was the Season 2 Transcendence ranking reward.
The temple's stages carry their own traits. The Korean notes name Spore (포자), whose damage was corrected on March 4, 2026, Betrayal (배신), whose projectiles were made easier to see the same day, and Vitality Drain (생기 고갈), which reduced life steal and was removed on April 22, 2026. The route also uses waterspouts that lift the party after Singing Ellyde falls, and sealed statues with liberated elite guardians along the way.
