Initial version (2026-10-07)
The Korean and Taiwanese service of AION 2 runs on mobile devices as well as PC, and this page covers that mobile client. NCsoft's global FAQ answers the question "Will AION 2 be on mobile?" by naming only Steam and PURPLE, and says official support covers Steam and PURPLE on Windows PC only, so no mobile client has been announced for the global service. Everything below therefore describes the Korean service, mainly from the official guidebook (updated December 26, 2025) and the Korean update notes.
Mobile uses the same two control schemes as PC (see PC Controls), but the mobile default is the AION1 (click) mode. It can be changed under Settings, Combat, Control Mode. The guidebook labels the main mobile screen as follows.
No. | Element | What it does |
|---|---|---|
1 | Quest and party info | Accepted quests and current party details |
2 | View distance | Switches the camera between three distances: near, middle and far |
3 | Virtual pad | Drag to move in any direction |
4 | Target (TAB) | Targets the nearest enemy or cycles to another one |
5 | Chat | Chat and system messages |
6 | Lock-on | Turns camera lock-on on or off |
7 | Quickslots | Register items and set them to auto-use |
8 | Flight | Take off; flying drains the flight gauge |
9 | Mount | Ride your pet |
10 | Minimap | Nearby area; tap to open the map |
11 | Stigma skills | Registered Stigma skills |
12 | Conditional skills | Skills that become usable when their condition is met |
13 | Mastery skills | Registered mastery skills |
14 | Basic attack | Basic attack |
15 | Heavy attack | Heavy attack |
16 | Sprint or dodge | Sprint out of combat, dodge in combat |
17 | Jump or glide | Jump on the ground, glide while flying |
Move with the virtual pad in the lower left. Pushing it to its edge, or tapping the sprint button, makes the character run faster.
Pinch with two fingers to zoom, and drag to turn the camera. With Settings, Graphics, Camera, Camera Rotation Stick turned on, an on-screen stick turns the camera instead, and holding it keeps the camera turning.
Tap a quest to auto-move to its objective (some quests in some areas do not support it). Since January 28, 2026 you can also tap a spot on the world map to walk there, and since February 25 the route is drawn on the map.
Tap the interaction icon to talk to an NPC or use an object.
Select a target and tap the skill buttons to attack. TAB switches targets; since December 24, 2025 the TAB button sits on the right side rather than beside the virtual pad.
Tap the dodge button as an enemy attack lands to avoid it.
Mobile Support is a mobile-only feature that has been part of the Korean service since launch on November 19, 2025. While you keep attacking your main target, it uses your skills automatically. Each skill's detail window has an on or off switch for auto-use, and the Mobile Support settings screen adds four controls:
Setting | Effect |
|---|---|
Priority | The order in which auto-use skills fire; higher priority goes first |
Delay | How long after a skill comes off cooldown it is used |
HP condition | Use a skill only at a chosen HP level |
MP condition | Use a skill only at a chosen MP level |
A second assist, dodge support, arrived on December 24, 2025. It moves the character out of ground attacks automatically, and NCsoft notes that it helps the character leave the attack area rather than guaranteeing a dodge. A September 16, 2026 fix stopped the combat support feature from repeating one skill so often that others could not be used.
The mobile client accepts a keyboard and mouse on Android, iPhone and iPad, with keyboard and mouse play on iOS improved on December 10, 2025. Controllers also work on mobile, with improvements on December 10, 2025, although the December 3, 2025 notes said the LT zoom combination and the pointer did not yet work there. The same December 24 patch made Apple silicon (M-series) Macs officially playable.
A reduced HUD Editor reached mobile on August 12, 2026: grid, scale and snap settings, moving and resizing elements, and hiding or showing them.
The skill macro runs on mobile while you hold its HUD button (January 28, 2026); the button moved on February 25, 2026.
Party member tooltips stay visible on the mobile interface (December 24, 2025).
Neural Frame Fusion, a frame generation option, was added for a list of recent Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets on August 26, 2026, under Settings, Graphics, Upscaler.
PURPLE On, a feature of NCsoft's PURPLE launcher on the Korean service, streams a game running on your PC to the PURPLE mobile app or a web browser, so you can watch your character, get push notifications and take control remotely. It requires the PURPLE security service. On the PC, PURPLE's Community and Content menu shows whether the PC is ready to stream; the mobile app, signed in to the same account, can then stream it and can even start the game remotely. The stream shows the character's item level, Kina and potions, and its settings move the touch pad, change resolution and open picture-in-picture mode. The web version adds multi-account streaming. The guidebook describing it was last updated on November 22, 2025, and a July 1, 2026 fix restored target information that was missing in PURPLE streaming mode.
