Empyrean Lords
October 7, 2026 at 12:19 AM
Aligned names with the rest of the wiki: stat names (Double Chance, Restoration, Endurance, Perfect Chance)
The Empyrean Lords are the gods of Atreia's two Daeva factions, and in AION 2 they are mostly absent. The global teaser material tells the story of their last act: when the Aion Tower fell and the Balaur poured into both realms, the Lords gathered what power they had left and raised the Bulwark, at a cost that left several of them gone. This page covers what AION 2 itself says about them. Lore that exists only in the original AION or in tie-in fiction is not repeated here.
Lord | What AION 2 says |
|---|---|
Siel | Guardian of the Tower on the Elyos side. Vanished when the Tower fell, and the remaining Elyos Lords gave everything to raise the Bulwark of light. |
Israphel | Guardian of the Tower on the Asmodian side, already gone by then; the five surviving Asmodian Lords spent the last of their power on the Bulwark between Morheim and Beluslan. |
Kaisinel | His disappearance broke the contracts with the spirits, Etheria grew unstable and many spirits turned violent. Many Daeva lost their way after his extinction and the dissolution of the Illusion Cavaliers. The temple near Zumion Village (Eldes Temple, 엘데스 신전; provisional English) is his, and the Elyos story leads toward Kaisinel's Core. |
Zikel | Zealots in Altgard twist his worship and gather offerings in his name. The Destruction Archons are sworn to him, and the Asmodian story leads toward Zikel's Core. |
Marchutan | Fate Archon candidates studied his scriptures at Morheim's Fate Temple before Sigebert's loyalists massacred them. |
The details come from NCsoft's teaser account and from the location and quest text in the game. See Story and Lore for the wider setting.
Ten of the Lords lend their names to the divine stats on the character screen. The official guidebook lists each with the two effects it raises:
Stat | Lord | Raises |
|---|---|---|
Destruction (파괴) | Zikel | Attack and Perfect Resistance |
Death (죽음) | Triniel | Critical Hit and Restoration Penetration |
Wisdom (지혜) | Lumiel | Lower MP cost and Double Chance |
Destiny (운명) | Marchutan | MP and Endurance chance |
Space (공간) | Israphel | Move Speed and Block chance |
Time (시간) | Siel | Combat Speed and resistance to Double Chance |
Life (생명) | Yustiel | HP and Restoration chance |
Illusion (환상) | Kaisinel | Cooldown reduction and Endurance Penetration |
Freedom (자유) | Vaizel | Accuracy and Evasion |
Justice (정의) | Nezekan | Defense and Perfect Chance |
The Pantheon and Monolith resonance are among the sources of these stats, and the Chapter 1 update of July 1, 2026 removed their upper limits on the Korean service. Character Stats covers the stat system.
The Daevanion growth boards are also named for Lords. The Nezekan, Zikel, Vaizel and Triniel boards open at levels 12, 20, 30 and 40, and the Ariel, Azphel, Marchutan and Yustiel boards at level 45. Chapter 1 expanded the Nezekan, Zikel, Vaizel and Triniel boards. See Daeva System and Daevanion Board.
Skills such as Empyrean Lord's Punishment, Empyrean Lord's Grace and Nezekan's Shield carry the Lords' names.
The collectibles that level the territory Monoliths are Empyrean Traces; see Monoliths and Empyrean Traces.
The global service names many of its servers after the Lords, with each Elyos server paired against an Asmodian one; see Servers and Regions.
The Empyrean Lords come from the original AION, and fan material about them is plentiful. Only what AION 2's own teaser, guidebook and game text say is presented here as AION 2 canon.
