The Arena is AION 2's small-scale instanced PvP. It comes in two forms on the Korean and Taiwanese service: a solo arena and a cooperative team arena, whose Korean names translate as Arena of Solitude and Arena of Cooperation. As of October 2, 2026, NCsoft has not listed the Arena among the modes open on the global servers.

Format

• The cooperative arena has been five against five since July 1, 2026, in line with the five-player party size introduced with Chapter 1.

• Since August 12, 2026 cooperative arena teams are formed regardless of faction. Players of the same faction who meet as opponents are shown with enemy icons on the minimap (since February 11, 2026).

• Respawn takes five seconds, down from ten (December 24, 2025). Skill cooldowns reset on entering and leaving, and since July 29, 2026 some buffs are removed on entry and exit.

• In the solo arena a player who respawns receives a damage resistance buff for a short time (December 24, 2025).

• Healing received is reduced in the Arena, as in the Abyss. The reduction was 50% from March 25, 2026, 40% from May 20, 30% from July 1, and has been 20% since August 12, 2026.

Rewards

The Arena exchange shop has stocked the same Praetorian Captain weapons and guards as the Abyss shop since June 10, 2026. A weekly server season mission added on May 27, 2026 asks for 15 and then 20 Arena matches and pays soul crystals, Battle Enhancement Scrolls, Abyss Points and Season 3 oath coins.

Rankings

• Both arenas keep season rankings. On February 11, 2026, when ranking buffs still existed, only the highest of the Abyss rank buff and the two arena ranking buffs applied.

• From Season 3 (April 8, 2026) arena rankings and grades are based on class ranking, class ranking icons appear in the arena lobby, and the ranking buffs that the arenas used to grant were removed.

• Arena season ranking points move with a character on a server transfer.
