Abyss bosses are the named bosses of the lower and middle layers of the Abyss. Some respawn on their own timers, the Guardian Lord Nahma bosses appear on fixed evenings, and six more arrive in a boss event that follows each artifact battle. Both factions fight over them, so every one of them is also a PvP objective. The English names on this page are the global game client's; NCsoft's English announcement of Season 2 also used Guardian Lord Nahma. Everything here describes the Korean and Taiwanese service: as of October 7, 2026, NCsoft has not published Abyss boss schedules for the global servers.
Boss List
Levels and locations come from the global client's data. The game labels the two layers Chaotic Lower Reshanta and Chaotic Middle Reshanta; times are Korean time.
Boss | Korean name | Level | Layer and location | When it appears |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Guardian Lord Nahma | 수호신장 나흐마 | 65 | Lower layer, three of them: Reshanta's Root, Devastated Remnants and Black Fragments Area | Fridays and Sundays at 10 PM; since September 30, 2026 some matching groups start at 10:30 or 11 PM |
Enraged Guardian Lord Nahma | 분노한 수호신장 나흐마 | 80 | Middle layer, two of them | Same days and times as Guardian Lord Nahma |
Watcher Kaira | 감시자 카이라 | 65 | Lower layer: Archipelago of Siel's Wings, Black Fragments Area, Devastated Remnants and Sulfur Tree Island | Every four hours from 01:00, at a random spawn point |
Argo, the Spirit King | 정령왕 아그로 | 65 | Lower layer: Archipelago of Siel's Wings | On a 24-hour respawn (as listed in December 2025) |
Executor Kaira | 집행자 카이라 | 65 | Lower layer: Sulfur Tree Island | Boss event after the artifact battle, Wednesdays and Saturdays |
Executor Argo | 집행자 아그로 | 65 | Lower layer: Archipelago of Siel's Wings | Boss event after the artifact battle |
Executor Tamasa | 집행자 타마사 | 65 | Lower layer: Reshanta's Root | Boss event after the artifact battle |
Executioner Dramos | 처형관 드라모스 | 80 | Middle layer | Boss event after the artifact battle |
Turncoat Ducal | 반역자 듀칼 | 80 | Middle layer | Boss event after the artifact battle |
Ravager Marakha | 파멸자 마라카 | 80 | Middle layer | Boss event after the artifact battle |
The Dimensional Core that appears in each artifact battle is treated like these bosses for contribution and for the battlefield buff; see Artifacts.
Guardian Lord Nahma
At launch a single Guardian Lord Nahma appeared in the lower layer. With Season 2 on January 21, 2026 the lower layer received three, and the reopened middle layer received up to two Enraged Guardian Lord Nahma. The schedule has moved several times:
Date | Schedule on the Korean service |
|---|---|
December 10, 2025 | The patch note's boss table listed Nahma on Sundays, with Saturdays added during that month's boss event |
Until February 11, 2026 | Saturdays and Sundays at 8 PM (the previous schedule given in the February 11 patch note) |
February 11, 2026 | Saturdays and Sundays at 10 PM; the stats of the Nahma bosses, Watcher Kaira, Argo and the Dimensional Cores were raised, and one lower-layer Nahma spawn point was moved |
April 8, 2026 | Appearance delayed by 5 to 10 minutes depending on the server matching group |
April 22, 2026 | Fridays and Sundays at 10 PM |
September 30, 2026 | Group 1 at 10 PM, group 2 at 10:30 PM, group 3 at 11 PM |
A fault kept Guardian Lord Nahma from spawning properly on some servers between November 23 and December 13, 2025; NCsoft later sent eligible characters a rare Nahma merit box as compensation. On May 27, 2026 both Nahma bosses received about one and a half times their HP.
Watcher Kaira and Argo, the Spirit King
Watcher Kaira and Argo, the Spirit King are the lower layer's own field bosses. In December 2025 Watcher Kaira was listed with a one-hour respawn cycle and a spawn chance rather than a guaranteed spawn, and Argo with a 24-hour respawn. On September 2, 2026 Kaira's spawn chance went from 20% to 100%, on a four-hour cycle; a temporary maintenance on September 4 moved the start of the cycle from midnight to 01:00. Each spawn picks a random point, with no difference in odds between points. Both bosses had their HP raised about threefold on May 27, 2026.
Since December 17, 2025 the Kina one character can collect from a boss kill has been capped: 1,000,000 Kina from Guardian Lord Nahma, and 200,000 Kina each from Watcher Kaira and Argo, the Spirit King.
The Boss Event After the Artifact Battle
Since April 22, 2026 a boss event follows each artifact battle in both layers. When it launched it started at 10:30 PM on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 5 to 10 minutes later for some matching groups, and brought Watcher Kaira, Argo, the Spirit King and Executor Tamasa to the lower layer and Executioner Dramos, Turncoat Ducal and Ravager Marakha to the middle layer. The ordinary Watcher Kaira and Argo kept their own spawn schedules. On April 29, 2026 the event versions were renamed Executor Kaira and Executor Argo so they could be told apart from the field bosses of the same name, and the three lower-layer event bosses had their stats raised. Their HP went up by about one and a half times on May 27, 2026.
The September 30, 2026 schedule placed the event bosses in three time groups: 9:45 PM, 10:15 PM and 10:45 PM on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The October 7 rematch assigns the 21 matching groups to those three time slots as follows; all times are Korean local time.
Matching groups | Artifact battles (Wed/Sat) | Abyss boss event (Wed/Sat) | Nahma bosses (Fri/Sun) |
|---|---|---|---|
1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19 | 21:20 | 21:45 | 22:00 |
2, 5, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20 | 21:50 | 22:15 | 22:30 |
3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21 | 22:20 | 22:45 | 23:00 |
Rewards
Rewards are paid by contribution. Since July 1, 2026 they follow contribution rankings per class rather than one overall ranking, so more players are rewarded.
A player who dies during the fight is still rewarded by contribution while within the 100 m reward range of the boss.
PvP counts: since May 13, 2026 the players who damaged an enemy killed near a boss gain contribution on that boss, and since May 20, 2026 dealing damage or healing allies in PvP near a boss builds contribution in real time. The September 2, 2026 update raised the contribution that PvP earns again.
The Nahma bosses give materials that convert into Nahma merit boxes. The event bosses give materials that convert into Dimensional Merit Boxes and Superior Dimensional Merit Boxes (April 22, 2026). All of these boxes can contain Abyss Potential Amplification Stones, and their merit medal contents have been raised several times, most recently on September 16, 2026.
Since April 29, 2026 Executor Tamasa, Executioner Dramos, Turncoat Ducal and Ravager Marakha can drop a painting of themselves.
The global client's drop tables also list Artwork items, refining stones and Unique-grade boss equipment, such as the Guardian Lord Nahma Breastplate and Greaves and the Argo and Kaira Breastplates.
Fight Rules
Abyss field bosses leave the field 30 minutes after they appear (since April 22, 2026).
Since September 23, 2026 every player on the map receives a battlefield buff (전장의 권능; no official English name yet) while any of these bosses, or a Dimensional Core, is up in the lower or middle layer. It replaces seven class buffs while active, among them Experienced Counterstrike, Fury, Undefeated Mantra, Light of Protection and Power of the Storm, and ends when no boss is left on the map.
A debuff called Decline of Power (힘의 쇠락; literal translation) lowers a boss's damage resistance and resistance to Double Chance once a fight drags on. A temporary maintenance on September 23, 2026 made it start after eight minutes instead of ten for lower and middle layer bosses, and the September 30 update fixed it not applying to Enraged Guardian Lord Nahma.
The HP of Abyss bosses and Dimensional Cores was raised on September 23, 2026, when PvP damage amplification started to apply to Monoliths and guards in the Abyss.
