The starting copy of the Sturdy Halberd that unlocks the crafting recipe sits on top of a dilapidated stone structure on the western side of a Coastal Jungle island. The structure houses three chests stacked across its ruined floors. The halberd is inside the topmost chest, while the lower two contain more routine loot. There is no stair or ladder to the top platform. The climbing route is a chain of broken wall segments and collapsed roof fragments used as footholds. Approaching from the exterior side of the ruin and sidestepping along the remaining beams is usually faster than trying to scale the collapsed interior.
The approach is lightly guarded. Charging Boars patrol the ground around the structure, but they are manageable with starter gear and do not disrupt the climb once you are above ground level. Once the weapon enters your inventory, the Sturdy Halberd recipe registers at the Workbench and can be crafted with 10 Wood + 7 Copper Ingot from then on, exactly as listed in the crafting table above. The original pickup copy is one use only and will not respawn if dropped or stored.
