Privateer's Boots is the Rare feet piece of the Privateer's Regalia set in Windrose. Within the set, the Boots are one of the pieces players most often find as loot in chests scattered across the islands rather than buy as a plan. The two reliably craftable pieces of the set, the Privateer's Doublet and Privateer's Pants, are unlocked from the People of Tortuga Provisioner once you reach the required reputation rank with the People of Tortuga. When the Boots plan is available, the piece is crafted at the Armor and Clothing Workshop like every other Rare armor piece.

"An elegant attire worn by captains. It's just as easy to deal lethal blows during a boarding operation as to strut about at the governor's reception."
Like all Rare and Uncommon armor, Privateer's Boots has three crafting tiers that set its base Defense. Each tier can be upgraded several more levels at the Upgrading Station using the same recipe materials.
Item Level | Defense | Craft Tier |
|---|---|---|
1 | 100 DEF | Base tier |
6 | 200 DEF | Second tier (upgraded recipe) |
11 | 300 DEF | Third tier (top recipe) |
Crafting the Boots requires the Plans: Privateer's Boots to be unlocked first. In the current build the Boots, like the Privateer's Tricorne and Privateer's Gloves, are most commonly acquired as drops from chests during exploration, while the set's plan-based pieces (the Privateer's Doublet and Privateer's Pants) are bought from the People of Tortuga Provisioner after building reputation with the People of Tortuga. Once you hold the plan, the recipe materials below apply at each crafting tier.
Item Level | Station | Materials |
|---|---|---|
1 | 4 Coarse Fabric, 2 Rough Hide | |
6 | 4 Linen Fabric, 2 Tanned Leather, 1 Sewing Tools | |

Each tier unlocks a new workshop attachment: the Shoemaker's Bench at ilvl 6 and the Material Rack at ilvl 11. Both attach to the Armor and Clothing Workshop and require its Bonfire coverage to function.
Privateer's Boots counts toward the Privateer's Regalia 5-piece set. Set bonuses apply globally once the stated number of pieces are equipped at the same time.
Pieces | Bonus |
|---|---|
2-piece | Increases Critical Hit Chance by 10%. |
4-piece | Increases Critical Damage by 10% for each nearby enemy, up to 30%. |
"We are not pirates. We are privateers. We have papers, seals, and good lawyers." (captain Benjamin Hornigold)
Counts as one piece toward the Privateer's Regalia 2-piece and 4-piece bonuses: pairing it with a second piece from the same set is usually the minimum to get value out of the plan.
Because the Boots are usually a chest drop rather than a guaranteed craft, players chasing the full Privateer's Regalia set often pair the looted Boots with the craftable Doublet and Pants to reach the 2-piece and 4-piece thresholds.
The Critical Hit Chance from the 2-piece bonus and the stacking Critical Damage from the 4-piece make the Boots a strong feet slot for crit and burst builds that fight inside enemy groups.
