Pillars and Beams is the vertical and horizontal load-bearing structural pieces that frame walls, support roofs, and form the skeleton of every multi-story building. Windrose offers 47 pillars (plus 16 beams and corners) across every material tier.
Pillars are vertical columns that snap to floor corners and run up to roof level. They form the corners of most buildings and give large open rooms their architectural spine.
Pillar | Notes |
|---|---|
Pillar (Sticks) | Tier 1-2 starter pillar; Plant Fiber x1; 750 HP. |
Pillar (Weathered) | Weathered timber pillar; 750 HP. |
Pillar (Log) | Log pillar with 45° beam offshoot available; 750 HP; plan: Woven Pillars and Beams. |
Pillar (Timber) | Processed timber pillar; 1,000 HP. |
Pillar (Plaster) | Plaster-coated pillar for estate interiors; 1,500 HP. |
Pillar (Stone) | Stone pillar for masonry construction; 1,500 HP. |
Column (Stone) / Column (Mahogany) | Decorative columns with capital and base options for grand entrances. |
Column Base (Stone) / Column Base (Mahogany) | Decorative plinth that goes under a matching Column. |
Capital (Stone) / Capital (Mahogany) | Decorative top piece that caps a Column. |
Primary: Pillar (Mahogany) | The high-tier estate pillar; Hardwood x3; 2,500 HP. |
Pillar with a Base | Pillar variant with an integrated base plate for outdoor placements. |
Pier Pile | Shoreline pillar used in Pier and Wharf construction. |
Large Pillar (Sticks / Weathered / Timber) | Double-height pillar pieces for two-story builds. |
Beams are horizontal lintel pieces that span between two pillars. They support roof weight and create the frame for lofts, porches, and open-plan rooms.
Beam | Notes |
|---|---|
Beam (Sticks) | Cheapest beam; Plant Fiber x1 or Wood x1; 750 HP. Available as 45°, 64°, 26°, and horizontal. |
Beam (Weathered) | Weathered-sticks beam across the same four angles; 750 HP. |
Beam (Log) / Beam (Timber) | Mid-tier beams; 750-1,500 HP depending on tier. |
Beam (Mahogany) | Estate-tier beam; 1,500-2,500 HP. |
Large Beam (Sticks / Timber / Weathered / Mahogany) | Double-length beams for wider-span rooms. Cost double materials for the same HP per meter. |
Corner pieces resolve the join between two perpendicular beams. They are tier-matched to beams:
Piece | Role |
|---|---|
Corner (Sticks) | Wood x1; 750 HP; joins two perpendicular stick beams. |
Corner (Timber) | Wood x2; 1,000 HP; timber tier corner. |
Corner (Weathered) | Weathered wood corner. |
Wall Beam (Clay) | Clay-reinforced beam that embeds into a clay wall. |
Wall Beam (Planks) | Plank-tier wall beam used in framed-plank walls. |
Pillars and Beams share the same recipe plan: Woven Pillars and Beams for stick tier, Timber Pillars, Beams, and Fences for timber, and so on. Crafting one pillar unlocks all the beams and corners in that tier.
Use Pillars at every corner of a room larger than 3x3 to anchor the walls. Small shelters can get away with wall-to-wall joins without pillars.
Beams at the top of the wall course let you hang Chandeliers and Hanging Lamp pieces cleanly.
Mahogany columns (with matching Column Base and Capital) are the go-to look for entrance porches on estate-tier builds.
Large Pillars fill the gap on two-story structures. Place a regular Pillar on the ground floor and a Large Pillar on the second story for a clean exterior line.
