Palm Seeds is a Common-tier seed in Windrose used to grow a Palm, a renewable Wood source. Seeds plant directly on the ground with a roughly 1-hour real-time growth cycle, and every harvest refunds 1 seed to keep the loop renewable.

How to Obtain

• 0-1 per harvest from wild Palms in the Coastal Jungle (inland palms drop seeds; beach-edge palms typically do not).

• Harvested Saplings also return the seed used, so once a player has one seed the loop is self-sustaining.

Growth

Per harvest yield: 6-8 Wood plus 1 Palm Seed per Sapling harvest.

The Sapling uses a roughly 1-hour real-time growth cycle in line with the other crops in Windrose. Crops continue to grow while the game is closed. There is no watering, no fertilizer, no sunlight rule, and no wilt state.

The Sapling places directly on the ground without a Seedbed and without any Fertile Soil cost. This makes ground-planted trees the cheapest renewable resource loop in the game, since they skip both the Seedbed unlock and its soil upkeep.

Uses

The seed is only an input. Its value is the renewable Wood the grown Palm yields each cycle.

Palms also work as a decorative base-building option. For Wood specifically, Palm is interchangeable with Ficus and Shrub; plant whichever seed you gather in greater numbers on a given island.

Tips

• Cluster several Palms in an outdoor grove near your Coastal Jungle base so a single harvest sweep refills a large Wood reserve.

• Because ground trees need no soil, they are the first renewable resource most crews set up before unlocking the Seedbed.
