Newhand Insignia is the lowest tier of insignia in Windrose. It drops from standard sailors among Blackbeard's forces and is the bulk reputation-grinding item at the start of faction rep sessions.

Newhand Insignias produce the smallest per-item reputation boost of the four tiers, but they are by far the most common drop. They are best saved up in bulk and turned in as a batch. One Bounty Agent session can cash in dozens of Newhand Insignias at a time.
All four player-facing factions (Brethren of the Coast, Rogue Buccaneers, People of Tortuga, Smugglers of Port Royal) accept Newhand Insignias at their Bounty Agent. Because every faction hates Blackbeard, there is no wrong faction to turn in to.
