How Beds Work

The Large Luxurious Bed is the highest-material bed piece in Windrose. Placing it sets your revival point so you respawn beside it after death. Like every bed it is decorative: sleeping does not pass time or restore health and stamina, so the value is the respawn anchor plus the Comfort System bonus.

It grants a Comfort bonus of +2 in the Bed sub-category, the same bonus the Elegant Bed provides, and that bonus only counts while the bed sits inside Bonfire range. Comfort in this sub-category does not stack, so one bed reaches the cap. The piece requires a roof and snaps to a flat Floors surface. Because it is the largest bed, it reads as a centerpiece and takes up a larger floor footprint than the simpler beds.

• The Large Luxurious Bed costs twice the materials of the Elegant Bed for the same +2 Comfort bonus, so build it for the grander look, not for extra comfort.

• The recipe is taught by the Decoration: Luxurious Bed plan; learn it before placing the bed.

• Keep it inside Bonfire range and under a roof, or the Comfort bonus will not apply.

• Give it room: it is the largest bed and works best as the focal piece of a finished bedroom.
