Jim Godart is a Blackbeard lieutenant and the leader of a large pirate camp targeted during the Catastrophe's Aftermath quest. Charlie Sharpe tasks the player with killing Godart before he can launch a raid on the refugees who fled the sacking of Tortuga.

Godart's camp is marked during Catastrophe's Aftermath. It is a large multi-section camp spread across a hill held by pirate patrols at every level. He is not in the open; he must be reached by fighting through the camp.
Clear each hillside section one at a time. Grouping pulls is the main cause of death.
Ranged weapons reduce the count of minor pirates from outside aggro range.
Expect Blackbeard-aligned enemies including patrol Grenadiers, Juggernauts, and Pirate Sergeants.
Godart is tougher than standard pirates. Pull him alone, block with Perfect Block, and punish openings.
Reaching Godart is the final stage of Catastrophe's Aftermath. The earlier objectives lead up to it:
Retrieve supplies from a marked ship, clearing the drowned enemies aboard.
Deliver the supplies to Charlie Sharpe at the refugee camp.
Collect 15 healing herbs for the camp doctor, who crafts medicine from them.
Return the medicine, after which Charlie reveals Godart's planned raid and sends the player to stop him.
Defeating Godart completes Catastrophe's Aftermath. Returning to Charlie Sharpe grants 200 Piastre and 10 Letters of Favor. Some accounts also mention a People of Tortuga reputation gain, but the listed currency and favor tokens are the confirmed payout.
Jim Godart is one of Blackbeard's lieutenants. During Catastrophe's Aftermath he is identified as one of Blackbeard's minions who is planning to attack the refugees who fled Tortuga after the initial Blackbeard-aligned raid that killed the governor. His threat is the entire reason Charlie Sharpe asks the player to intervene: preventing a second raid is the moral hook that justifies a hit-the-camp mission against a larger-than-usual pirate force.
Godart's camp is confirmed by current community data. Pirate patrols occupy each tier, which is why aggroing one section pulls the adjacent section quickly. Godart himself is at the top, not at the entrance. Players who try to charge up the hill tend to get overwhelmed; the verified tactic is to clear section-by-section so that aggro pulls stay manageable.
Godart's crew is built from standard Sailors and Pirate Sergeants, with two Grenadier bodyguards near Godart himself. Heavier Juggernaut enemies can appear on the patrol tiers. Grenadiers are the main threat because their grenade pattern hits through cover.
Godart is a standard enemy that you can kill once isolated. He is tougher than a baseline pirate but not a mechanically unique boss like Thomas Richards or Ghost Captain.
Pull Godart alone if possible. Ranged pistol or musket shots from outside the top tier can peel him off the nearby patrol pair. A reliable method is to shoot him once, then run; he gives chase, and a few more shots away from his crew finish him.
Block with Perfect Block (timing window from the Talent System) to punish his heavy swings. Stamina management matters: the hill terrain limits backpedaling and stun-lock can end a fight fast if you are caught on slopes.
Completing Catastrophe's Aftermath by killing Godart and returning to Charlie Sharpe grants 200 Piastre and 10 Letters of Favor. Letters of Favor are a faction-universal currency used to unlock higher-tier faction vendors. Godart does not drop a unique weapon. Some community summaries mention receiving items as a reward, but no itemized gear drop has been confirmed across independent sources, so treat unique-drop claims with caution.
