Category: Decoration - Lighting
The Floor-Standing Candlestick is a freestanding Lighting decoration in Windrose. Like every lighting piece it raises the Comfort level of a sheltered camp by +1 for the lighting subcategory, so a single candlestick covers the whole category and there is no benefit to crowding several together. It is built from cheap, early metal and fat, which makes it a common first light source while a crew is still working toward the fancier Chandeliers.

The same Decoration: Wrought Iron Lamps plan also teaches the wall-mounted Wall Candlestick, giving a matching look across freestanding and wall lighting. Other lighting options the camp can build include the Table Candlestick, Small Candlestick, Large Candlestick, and the brighter Floor-Standing Torch. All of them sit in the same lighting subcategory, so pick whichever matches the room rather than placing several for extra comfort.

Comfort System
This piece belongs to the Lighting comfort subcategory. Placing at least one item from a subcategory inside the Bonfire radius grants +1 to your Comfort level for that subcategory, and adding more pieces from the same subcategory does not raise the bonus further. The bonus only counts while the decoration sits within the bonfire's circle, shown in the build menu when you place it.
Comfort feeds the Rested buff, which you gain by resting near the bonfire. Rested raises stamina regeneration to about 2.5 times its normal rate, and each extra comfort level adds roughly one minute to how long the buff lasts, so spreading points across many subcategories is more valuable than stacking duplicates of one item. Most indoor furniture needs Shelter status, meaning walls and a roof around the bonfire, before its bonus applies; mixing in several different subcategories is the fastest way to climb comfort levels.
Materials
Both ingredients are early-game staples. Foothills Iron Ingot is smelted from Foothills Iron Ore at a Smelting Furnace, and Animal Fat is rendered from hunted animals, so a camp can usually build this light without a special trip.
