Function and Placement
The Fireplace Foundation is the base piece of the Fireplaces decoration set. It forms the hearth and lower chimney that a stack sits on, and the matching Chimney Cap tops the stack to complete the look. As a Comfort decoration it raises the comfort level of a residence, which is what makes a base feel like a home rather than a bare shelter.
It only functions inside the Bonfire range, so place it near your central fire. The +2 Comfort it grants does not stack with other pieces in the same Fireplaces category, so a single fireplace per area gives the full bonus; adding a second one nearby is purely cosmetic.
