Eddie Lowe is a named Grenadier of Blackbeard's Crew, encountered as a quest target. Mechanically Eddie functions as a standard Grenadier same explosive throws, same hit points, same drop pattern but the encounter exists inside a scripted quest layout and the kill confirms a quest objective.

Combat Notes

Eddie Lowe behaves identically to a regular Grenadier:

• Throws lit grenades that explode on contact or after a short fuse, dealing splash damage that ores most light armor.

• Engages from medium range and disengages on health loss, which can pull the fight into other patrol triggers if you chase.

• Carries a sidearm pistol for close work; the grenades are the larger threat.

Recommended approach: open with a ranged kill shot from a Musket or Blunderbuss before Eddie has a clean throw line. If the fight goes melee, force the engagement at a doorway or rock so any thrown grenade lands behind cover.

Smugglers Quest Role

Eddie Lowe is the named target of the Smugglers faction quest. After Marita identifies him as the pirate who hijacked The Hunchback Pilgrim, the player tracks Eddie down at his pirate camp on the Foothills mainland. The encounter inherits the standard Foothills pirate-camp layout: a Deckhand perimeter, one or two Sergeants, and Eddie himself fighting in the centre with the usual Grenadier kit.

Killing Eddie does not directly grant the quest item. After the camp is clear, search the storage crates inside Eddie's tents to recover the Contraband Wine stolen from Long Ben's shipment. Returning the wine to Marita closes the Smugglers quest and pays out 150 Piastres, 10 Letter of Favor, and the Iron Lamps decoration plan.

Outside the Smugglers chain, Eddie respawns as a normal Grenadier at the same camp, and his standard drop list (Homemade Gunpowder, insias, Nuts, Rum Bottle) is rolled fresh on every kill.
