Category: Decoration - Ship Models
The Cutter on a Stand is a Ship Models decoration in Windrose: a small display model of a cutter mounted on a wooden base. Placed inside a sheltered camp it raises the Comfort level by +1 for the miniatures subcategory. Ship-model bonuses do not stack, so one model of any class fills the subcategory and the rest are chosen for decoration.

How to Unlock
The recipe is taught by the Decoration: Cutter Miniatures plan. Once read it adds the model to the build menu permanently for that character. It is crafted from Wood and Coarse Fabric for the tiny sails, both early-game materials.
Ship Model Family
Cutter on a Stand is the smallest of the stand-mounted ship models. The camp can also display the Brig on a Stand, Frigate on a Stand, and Ketch on a Stand. For an enclosed alternative there is also the Cutter in a Bottle. All of these share the miniatures subcategory, so one model is enough for the comfort point.

Comfort System
This piece belongs to the Miniatures comfort subcategory. Placing at least one item from a subcategory inside the Bonfire radius grants +1 to your Comfort level for that subcategory, and adding more pieces from the same subcategory does not raise the bonus further. The bonus only counts while the decoration sits within the bonfire's circle, shown in the build menu when you place it.
Comfort feeds the Rested buff, which you gain by resting near the bonfire. Rested raises stamina regeneration to about 2.5 times its normal rate, and each extra comfort level adds roughly one minute to how long the buff lasts, so spreading points across many subcategories is more valuable than stacking duplicates of one item. Most indoor furniture needs Shelter status, meaning walls and a roof around the bonfire, before its bonus applies; mixing in several different subcategories is the fastest way to climb comfort levels.
