Overview
Cornice (Ceramic) is a ceramic facade cornice, a horizontal trim piece that runs along the top of a wall where it meets the roofline. It is a decorative Walls finish rather than a load-bearing element, used to give a building a finished, tiled-roof silhouette instead of a flat, unadorned wall edge.
Construction and Placement
As a Base Building trim piece, the cornice snaps along the upper edge of a wall in build mode. It is designed to read together with ceramic roof and facade parts, so it sits naturally beneath tiled roofing and beside other facade detailing such as the Facade Section (Plaster) and Eave Facade (Tiles).
Materials and Recipe
Building one cornice costs 2 Clay and takes about 1 second to place. The recipe is taught by the Plans: Tile Roofs Extras blueprint, the plan that bundles the ceramic roof and facade trim pieces, so unlocking it gives you the matching set in one purchase.
Durability
The cornice has a Max Health of 1,500. As with other structure pieces, that is the damage the trim can take before it is destroyed; the value is in line with the sturdier wall and facade pieces, so the cornice will not be the first thing to fail on an exposed wall.
Related Facade and Roof Trim
The cornice is part of the Cornices trim family and the Plans: Tile Roofs Extras blueprint, which covers ceramic facade and roof detailing. Related facade and eave pieces include:

Build Tips
Keep a stock of Clay on hand if you are detailing several buildings, since each cornice needs only a small amount and the run can add up across a long wall. Place the cornice after the wall and roof are framed so it lines up cleanly with the eave, and reuse the same Plans: Tile Roofs Extras set across a settlement for a consistent ceramic look.
