Corn Seeds is a Common tier seed in Windrose used to grow Corn. Seeds are planted at a Seedbed and run on the shared crop growth cycle of roughly one hour of real time. Every harvest refunds one seed, so a single starting seed turns into a self renewing supply of Corn for cooking.

Harvesting a wild Corn plant returns a Corn Seed roughly 75% of the time, so early gathering trips quickly build a starter stock.
The Food Merchant sells Corn Seeds once the Foothills threat has been cleared.
Harvesting a planted crop also refunds the seed used, so once you own a single seed the loop is self sustaining and no further buying is needed.
Per harvest a planted Corn crop yields 2 to 4 Corn plus 1 Corn Seed. The crop uses the one hour real time growth cycle shared by every plant in Windrose, and growth continues while the game is closed. There is no watering, no fertilizer, no sunlight requirement, and no wilt state, so a Seedbed never needs daily attention.
Plant the seed in a Seedbed, which is built from 5 Fertile Soil and offers four planting slots at its corners. Seedbeds unlock after defeating the Coastal Jungle boss Thomas Richards, and the Fertile Soil needed to build them is mined from the Ancient Farm ruins in the Foothills.
Corn is a staple cooking ingredient that feeds many Foothills tier dishes prepared at the Cooking Fire and Cutting Table. Keeping a couple of Seedbed slots in Corn ensures a steady ingredient pool for those recipes without extra foraging.
Corn is widely regarded as one of the two strongest early Seedbed picks alongside Cocoplum, because the yield per cycle is high and the crop continues to bank seeds on every harvest. Pairing Corn with a ground crop such as Lime gives a balanced early food economy that costs almost no upkeep.
