Coffee is a epic-tier cooked dish in Windrose. A concentrated brew that sharpens the body's reserves on long sails. Endurance drives stamina recovery and long-swing effectiveness, making Coffee a staple for extended combat and open-sea expeditions.

Buff Stacking Rule

Windrose allows exactly two active food buffs at once. Eating a third cooked dish overwrites the oldest active buff. Raw food still fills the hunger meter but grants no stat buff. See Food and Potions for the full ruleset.

• Coffee Beans: gathered in the Foothills from chests inside Ancient Farms and from the occasional ship-hold in the archipelago. Also buyable from vendors at low trade value.

• Cane Sugar: Foothills chest loot, primarily at Ancient Farm POIs. Not reliably farmable as a seedbed crop per current public guides.

Role in the Meta

Coffee is the Endurance pillar of the five Epic stat dishes (Coffee, Gazpacho, Seafood Platter, Taco, Swamp Pie). Its +20 Endurance boost is the standard pre-boss buff for stamina-dependent builds, especially players running two-handed halberd or greatsword loops where every swing drains the pool. Pair with Spicy Breaded Kebab for a Strength + Endurance boss-prep combo that fits the two-food-buff slot cap.

Station Requirement

Requires a Cooking Fire with both the Cutting Table and Cookware Shelf upgrades placed within range. The Cookware Shelf is what specifically unlocks the Epic-tier bracket. Guides list the magnitude (+20 Endurance) only in method.gg's food-guide article; every other source confirms Epic + 30 minutes but does not publish the stat name explicitly. The value is treated as reliable in the community meta but is most directly sourced from method.gg.

Secondary Use: Coffee Beans in Deadeye Grog

Coffee Beans double as an ingredient for the Rare-tier Deadeye Grog recipe (1 Coffee Beans + 1 Rum Bottle + 2 Madeira). Players stockpiling Coffee Beans for this Epic dish can also keep a sea-going alcohol loop fed without dedicated farming.
