Cayenne Pepper is a Coastal Jungle crop grown from Pepper Seeds in a Seedbed. Pepper Saplings mature in roughly 1 hour of real-time growth and yield 2 to 3 Peppers plus 1 Pepper Seed per harvest per community-tracked seedling data. It is the signature ingredient of every "spicy" named dish in the launch build.
Find Pepper Seeds in Coastal Jungle bushes and nests.
Plant Pepper Seeds in a Seedbed at base (requires Fertile Soil from Foothills Ancient Farms).
Harvest at roughly 1 hour per cycle; each harvest returns 2-3 Cayenne Pepper plus 1 Pepper Seed for replanting.

Pepper Sapling is the plantable form of Cayenne Pepper. It can only be sown in a Seedbed for Plants, which itself requires Fertile Soil to craft. After planting a single seed the crop matures in 1h 10m of real-time growth, then yields the outputs listed in the harvest table below. Replanting is self-sustaining: every harvest refunds at least one seed.
