Capital (Mahogany) is the crowning piece that sits on top of a column, finished in dark mahogany wood. It is filed under Pillars and Beams and is purely a decorative cap: paired with a column and a base it completes a classical pillar so it does not just end in a bare top.
In Base Building mode the capital snaps onto the top of a placed column. It is meant to be combined with the matching Column (Mahogany) and Column Base (Mahogany) for a full wood pillar, and it lines up with the arches in the same plan so a row of capped columns can carry an arcade across a frontage.
Each capital costs 2 Wood and places in about 1 second. The recipe is unlocked by the Plans: Columns and Arches blueprint, which also teaches the columns, bases, the stone capital, and the arch shapes, so a single plan covers the whole pillar-and-arch look.
Its Max Health is 1,500, noticeably tougher than the Capital (Stone), which sits at 750. If you want the more durable cap for an exposed or contested build, the mahogany version is the sturdier of the two capitals.
The capital is taught alongside the rest of this set by the Plans: Columns and Arches blueprint. Build it with the matching column and base, and frame the top with an arch:

Always pair a capital with a Column (Mahogany) and a Column Base (Mahogany) so the pillar reads as a complete unit. Because the mahogany capital has double the health of the stone one, prefer it on the parts of a base most likely to take damage, and keep a little Wood set aside since each cap is cheap to produce.
