Overview
Semi-Arch (Stone) is a half-arch Arches building piece cut from stone. Where a full arch spans a whole opening, a semi-arch covers one side of the curve, so two of them (or a semi-arch joined to a wall or column) can frame an asymmetric entrance, a corner, or the end of a colonnade. It belongs to the same decorative family as the plaster arches and the column pieces.
Construction and Placement
The semi-arch is placed in build mode like any other Base Building component, snapping onto an adjacent wall, beam, or column. Because it only resolves half of an arch shape, it is handy for fitting curved detail against a flat surface or for terracing one side of a passage. It is designed to sit with the matching Column (Stone) and Column Base (Stone) from the same plan.
Materials and Recipe
Each semi-arch costs only 2 Stone, making it one of the cheaper pieces in the set, and it places in about 1 second. The recipe comes from the Plans: Columns and Arches blueprint, which also teaches the full arches, columns, bases, and capitals.
Durability
Its Max Health is 1,500, the same durability as the larger plaster arches despite the lower stone cost. That makes the semi-arch an efficient, hard-wearing piece for detailing exposed corners of a base where you still want the structure to soak up damage before breaking.
Columns and Arches Set
The semi-arch shares the Plans: Columns and Arches blueprint with the rest of this set. Combine it with the matching columns, bases, capitals, and full arches:

Build Tips
Two semi-arches placed mirror to mirror read as a single wide arch, which is a cheap way to span a gap when you are short on Stone. A single semi-arch is also the natural way to finish the open end of a colonnade against a wall. Keep its low cost in mind when you are decorating at scale, as it is one of the most material-efficient shapes the plan unlocks.
