24-Pounders: Tempered is a 24-pound ship cannon, a Rare-rarity modded variant that requires a Plans paper to unlock the recipe. Forged and handled with restraint, these guns are meant to be fired with deliberation, not haste. Brig and Frigate hulls support 24-pound cannons in their main battery, with some Blackbeard variants able to mount them on hulls that normally cap at lower caliber.

Crafting Recipes

24-Pounders: Tempered can be crafted through the following recipes at the Shipwright's Workshop. Each tier uses progressively higher-quality metals and planks so higher-level stations unlock better material pipelines for the same ship weapon.

When to Use

Tempered cannons reward disciplined crews who can hold their broadsides for 6 seconds after reload. Run them on ships you intend to stay at range and pick your volleys with, not on skirmishers. Pairs naturally with Naval Tactics I: Ambush for patient burst opens.
