Season 2 is the second content season of WARDOGS, scheduled to begin on 15 October 2026. BULKHEAD put out the date on 22 September 2026 and published a preview on 9 October: four weapons, a throwable, four vehicles, three buildables, a rain weather preset, an experimental wager system, a round of balance changes and an attempt to lift the win rate of one faction. The studio called the preview the surface of the update, said the details were still being worked on before being locked in, and promised full patch notes with every balance change to follow. Everything on this page is what was announced before the season began, not a record of what shipped.

Season 1 began with the early access launch on 10 September 2026. When the studio shipped Update 0.1.2 on 30 September, it described Season 2 as a larger content update, with new map conditions, equipment, balance reworks and additional features. Patch notes so far are collected under Update History, and the split between what has shipped and what is still promised is under Early Access Roadmap.
Date | Announcement |
|---|---|
22 September 2026 | Season 2 dated for 15 October 2026, with a teaser video |
30 September 2026 | Update 0.1.2 describes Season 2 as a larger content update with new map conditions, equipment, balance reworks and additional features |
2 October 2026 | The Infrared Rangefinder is pulled from the vendor until Season 2, when it returns running on batteries |
9 October 2026 | The written preview, a development video recapping Season 1, and the studio's first pre-season press conference |
15 October 2026 | Scheduled start of Season 2 |
Four firearms are announced, one in each of four classes, backed by a range of new attachments that the preview does not list individually.
Image | Weapon | Class |
|---|---|---|
| TCX Spear | Assault rifle |
| M14 | Designated marksman rifle |
| PP-19 Bizon | Submachine gun |
| Evo-3 Ultra | Light machine gun |
A new throwable comes with them. The Molotov is a thrown incendiary that splashes fire on impact and damages anyone caught in its radius. It can be thrown overarm or underarm, and the studio describes its job as damage and area denial. How weapons are bought and carried is covered under Loadouts and Arsenal.

Image | Vehicle | Announced description |
|---|---|---|
| Wolf-110 | A fast, light wheeled transport |
| Wolf-110 (Assault) | The Wolf-110 with a ring-mounted M2 Browning |
| T-72 | A main battle tank, slower than the Leopard but cheaper and far more fuel-efficient |
| Flakpanzer Gepard | An anti-air vehicle |
The preview names the Leopard only as the point of comparison for the T-72. Unlock levels and prices for the new vehicles had not been published as of 14 October 2026. The vehicles already in the game are listed under Vehicles.
Buildable | Announced description |
|---|---|
MG Nest | A manned M2 Browning emplacement |
Large Shelter | A large metal shelter for covering key assets or keeping the rain off |
Wooden Step | A step, made of wood |

Building tools and the existing catalogue of structures are covered under Fortifications and Structures.
The 30 September notes promised new map conditions, and the preview names one: a rain weather preset. Rain changes visibility, engagement ranges and sound, and it interacts with the environment, including damaged and destroyed structures. Thunder is synchronised across the server and can briefly mask footsteps, which the studio presents as an opening for players who time a move to it. The maps themselves are described under The Setting.

The Wager Vendor is the season's experimental system, and the studio was frank about its status: a first pass that it intends to expand over time, and that it may pull from the game during the season if it turns out to be too exploitable. It lets a player bet on their own performance. The player chooses objectives, such as getting a number of kills in the Hot Zone or delivering a number of players, sets how many deaths they are willing to spend completing them, and then sets a stake. Stacking more objectives onto a wager lengthens the odds and raises the payout. A live tracker above the minimap shows the stake and progress toward winning or losing it. Using it is entirely optional, and it builds on the cash rewards described under The Cash Economy.
Area | Announced change |
|---|---|
Infrared Rangefinder | Returns to the vendor running on batteries. It was disabled on 2 October 2026 after the studio agreed with players that it had become too strong |
Super Heavy Helmet | Gains muffled audio and a restricted field of view, and fogs over while sprinting |
Heavy and Super Heavy helmets | Increased suppression resistance, in line with the new suppression changes |
Weapons | Adjustments to damage, recoil and suppression, aimed at giving each weapon class a clearer role |
Beyond the named items, the preview lists improvements to squad coordination, vehicle handling, controller responsiveness and progression, extra rewards for teamplay and logistics, and performance, bug fix and server stability work, without detail on any of them. The complete balance list was promised for the full patch notes.
The studio said that one of the three sides, Lonestar, has had a notoriously lower win rate than the other two. It accepted that complaints about Lonestar's uniform visibility and certain spawn positions were valid, but said its data pointed to sentiment around the blue team as the largest reason players avoid it. Season 2 runs what the studio calls a social experiment to see whether Lonestar's win rate and reputation change over the long term, and adds a line of identity for the side: Lonestar is an established private military company backed by one of the world's leading economies.
Change | Applies to |
|---|---|
All faction spawns moved on Bakurani | All three factions |
More desaturated uniforms, so they stand out less against the other factions | Lonestar |
Cash and experience win bonus | Lonestar, Season 2 only |
Cash and experience multipliers | Lonestar, Season 2 only |
20 percent vendor discount for a team at least 40 points behind second place | All three factions |
Punishment for community server hosts found exploiting the faction bonus | Community server hosts |
The three sides are described under Factions.
On 9 October 2026, alongside the preview, the studio held what it called its first pre-season press conference, a recorded session of just under an hour in which invited press and content creators asked questions about the season. It described the session as a pilot and asked players whether it should continue, and listed the formats it intends to support: official trailers, official video logs, press conferences (still experimental), an official podcast that is in progress, its social media accounts, and accounts run by individual developers.
As of 14 October 2026 the developers had not published in writing what Season 2 resets when it begins, and the full patch notes, final prices and unlock levels were still to come. A development video released on 9 October has chapters on progression and persistence, but the studio has not set out those details in text. The seasonal structure itself is described under The Metagame.
