Description
The uriashi are mountain folk who inhabit the remote high reaches of Vale Sangora's surrounding mountains. They have curled horns and large, hulking builds. For centuries they kept to themselves, living in rock huts and caves far from human settlements. They correspond to the "horned mountain beasts" described in Zdislav's folklore stories.
Under vampire rule
The Vrakhiri takeover changed the uriashi's situation. Some now wear vampire colors and serve as enforcers for Brencis's regime, large, powerful beings who patrol territories and handle threats that regular vampire soldiers cannot. Others remain independent in the mountains, curious about the lowlanders but not aligned with any faction.
This split makes the uriashi an unpredictable encounter. A player might find uriashi who attack on sight as vampire enforcers, or uriashi who are simply interested in observing a human who wandered too high. Context matters.
