The PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) is the player's primary information device in Subnautica 2. It serves as an encyclopedia, inventory manager, blueprint guide, and survival readout. The PDA also tracks genetic adaptations from the DNA Adaptation System, giving the player a single interface for both biological and material progression.

The PDA works alongside the Noetic Advisor, which is the primary narrative voice in Subnautica 2. The Noetic Advisor delivers mission objectives and story dialogue; the PDA provides the encyclopedic data layer behind those objectives, recording what the player has scanned, learned, and adapted into. Together they form the player-facing information interface.
Specific PDA voice lines have not been comprehensively documented yet. The launch build ships with around 505 Data Bank entries spanning creature dossiers, colonist logs, geological data, Axum glyphs, personal messages, and points of interest. Specific blueprint trees are observable in-game and will be expanded in this article as documentation catches up to the Early Access build state.
