STAR WARS Zero Company released on August 27, 2026. This page tracks what has changed in the game since then. The short version is that very little has: the game is still running on its release build, and the first post-launch update has been announced but had not shipped as of September 9, 2026.
Day-One Patch
A patch was applied at release. Reviewers working before launch did not have it, which is why some pre-release coverage describes technical behaviour that differs from the shipped game. Its contents were never published: no notes accompanied it, and neither the game’s news hub nor its store announcement feed carries an entry for it. What it changed is therefore unknown, and any pre-release account of performance should be read as describing an earlier build.
The Gap After Launch
For the first thirteen days after release, no further update shipped and no patch notes of any kind were published. This is unusually well established rather than merely unobserved. The publisher’s news hub carries a dedicated game-update feed alongside its news feed, and that update feed is empty for this title. The store announcement feed reports itself complete in both directions and contains no update-type post. Both channels have been silent since launch day.
Players noticed. A large download in early September was widely mistaken for a patch and turned out to be a re-download rather than a build change; the publicly visible build history showed no new build since release.
The likely reason is not secrecy. Reporting at the end of August described most of the studio being placed on unpaid furlough about two weeks before launch, leaving a small group to handle post-launch work. Development covers that in more detail.
First Post-Launch Update
In early September the team broke the silence. A staff member said the first post-launch patch was coming the following week and would address bugs and performance issues, that more information would follow when the update was ready, and that the team was preparing it for all platforms. No version number, release date, or fix list was given.
Alongside that, the team publicly acknowledged several specific problems for the first time.
Acknowledged Issue | Status and Guidance |
|---|---|
Chance to hit recalculating | A shot displayed at a 100 percent chance to hit is incorrectly recalculated to a lower chance when it is taken. The team said it is looking into a fix. This is the most-cited mechanical complaint since release. |
Crashes and CPU threading | Acknowledged as being worked on, with no further detail given. |
Crashes with certain graphics drivers | Crashes while using upscaling on an older graphics driver release. The suggested workaround is updating to the current driver. |
Instability on some desktop processors | Certain 13th and 14th generation Intel Core desktop processors can be unstable in a way that causes crashes. The suggested workarounds are updating the system BIOS, or lowering the performance core ratio from 55x to 54x, 53x or 52x using the manufacturer’s tuning utility. |
The last two are hardware-side mitigations rather than game fixes, so they can be applied now rather than waiting for the update. See Known Issues and Bugs for the wider set of problems players have reported, most of which have not been acknowledged.

What Is Not Coming
Separately from patches, the studio has been consistent about content. There is no announced downloadable content, no roadmap, no season pass, and no planned mod support, and the team has said it has no plans for monetization or microtransactions. Those positions were stated at launch and have not changed. See Release Date and Editions for what is actually sold.
