STAR WARS Zero Company published its PC system requirements before its August 27, 2026 release, and they are the figures the game shipped with. The store listing gives a minimum and a recommended tier, both targeting a 50 GB install on 64-bit Windows 10 or 11.

The published figures have not moved since launch. No revised specification has been issued.
Supported Languages
The PC listing covers eleven languages. English and German are the two with full audio; the remaining nine ship as interface and subtitle localizations.
Language | Localization |
|---|---|
English | Full audio, interface, and subtitles |
German | Full audio, interface, and subtitles |
French | Interface and subtitles |
Italian | Interface and subtitles |
Spanish (Spain) | Interface and subtitles |
Japanese | Interface and subtitles |
Korean | Interface and subtitles |
Polish | Interface and subtitles |
Simplified Chinese | Interface and subtitles |
Traditional Chinese | Interface and subtitles |
Portuguese (Brazil) | Interface and subtitles |
The PC version also requires agreement to a separate end user licence agreement for the game, listed alongside the store features.
Notes
These figures cover the PC version only. On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S the hardware is fixed, so there is no separate specification list for consoles. The Xbox Series X|S listing is the only storefront that publishes an install size, and it gives roughly 44 GB.
Both tiers list DirectX 12 and give Online Connection Requirements as not applicable. The store terms are stricter than that field suggests: an internet connection, an EA Account, a Steam Account, and acceptance of the EA User Agreement are all listed as required to play, and the EA and Steam accounts must be linked. Those two lines are about different things and both hold. The build runs natively without a separate launcher, which is the launcher question; the account link is a separate requirement that applies regardless. The game is single player throughout, with no multiplayer or live service attached.
The Upscaling Caveat
One thing changed before launch without any of the numbers moving. The specification originally described these targets as native resolution figures, measured without upscaling. That wording was removed on August 17, 2026, and Bit Reactor explained the reason directly: the recommended target of 1440p at 60 frames per second is reached using the game’s default upscaling setting rather than at native resolution. The hardware list is unchanged; what it promises is not.
There is a second reason the recommended tier does not describe a native-resolution target. Bit Reactor found during development that the game is more CPU bound than GPU bound, so changing individual graphics settings moves the framerate less than it would in most other genres. That is also why no Ultra tier is published at all. The suggested route to the recommended target is the game’s default temporal upscaler or a vendor equivalent.
This caveat has become the most practically important line on the page. Post-launch player reports of choppy framerates on hardware at or above the recommended tier are common, and the CPU-bound behaviour plus the upscaling assumption together explain why raising a graphics card alone often does not help. See Known Issues and Bugs for what players have reported since release.
Display and Input
Feature | Support |
|---|---|
Ultrawide | 21:9 and 32:9 both supported |
HDR | Available |
Controller on PC | Partial. Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 pads are described as mostly playable, but certain text entry still needs a keyboard |
Remapping | Buttons can be remapped on PC for both controller and mouse and keyboard, and on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S controllers on console |
Steam Deck | Unsupported. The pre-launch guidance was that the game would not be Deck verified at launch; the live storefront now categorises both Steam Deck and SteamOS as not supported |
Cloud saves | Supported |
Trading cards | Included |
Family sharing | Supported |
Bit Reactor’s guidance on drivers is simply to run the latest release available for your card rather than a specific minimum version.
Post-Launch Status
A day-one patch was indicated ahead of launch, and reviewers working before release did not have it. Thirteen days after release nothing about its contents has been published, and no patch notes of any kind have appeared: the game’s news hub and its store announcement feed have both been silent since launch day, and the announcement feed reports itself complete in both directions with no update-type posts in it at all. The published requirements above are unchanged from the ones the game launched with.
