Trick is one of the story companions in STAR WARS Zero Company and the squad member with the longest history alongside Hawks. He is a clone trooper, designation CT-3301, voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, and a veteran who served with Hawks in the Republic military before the two ended up outside the regular army.
Background

Trick is a consummate soldier with a fondness for games of chance, and a dry wit that masks the weight he carries. He was injured saving his commanding officer, Captain Hawks, from a Separatist attack on Antine. He made a full recovery, but was declared unfit for military service and chose to follow Hawks instead, becoming one of the first Operators in Zero Company. That shared past makes him something like the company's conscience and right hand. Where other Operators join for money or revenge, Trick's loyalty runs to his friends and to the Republic.
Role in the Squad
On the battlefield Trick fills the dependable soldier role, the kind of Operator who lays down cover fire and holds a position so flashier squadmates can do their work. His steadiness makes him a natural anchor for a squad of misfits who do not always trust one another.
His signature talent is built around exactly that durability. Trick can withstand being Downed and automatically revives on the following turn, and upgrading the talent improves both the health he comes back with and his resistance to Injuries. On a squad where a knockdown is the first step toward losing someone for good, an Operator who picks himself up is a different kind of insurance from a Medic.
In the Clone Wars
In Star Wars lore, clone troopers are bred for the Republic's army and rarely strike out on their own, which makes Trick's place in an unsanctioned outfit unusual. The game uses his background to ground Zero Company in the era's larger conflict while telling a smaller, more personal story. Details beyond what the game shows belong to the wider franchise.
Performance
Dee Bradley Baker voices Trick, and the same performance covers the clone troopers across the game, including the ones you can unlock and recruit later in the campaign. The complete list of credited roles is on Voice Cast.
