House Luna

Created page for House Luna: its standing, named members, the moon motif and its relationship to the other named house
House Luna is an aristocratic family of Silvernia and the only noble house named in official character copy. Cynthia II belongs to it, and carries the house title "Luna's Scion" alongside her epithet "The Goldbud" on her official character title page.
Her official description is the clearest statement of what the house is: she is the much-loved scion of House Luna, an innocent young aristocrat, and the Detective's landlady. The same copy opens with a line about the house's own idea of itself, that the rising crescent symbolises the future of the Royal Families and the City.
Silvernia's politics are described as opaque, and around the crown three kinds of power compete: royal affiliates, corporate monopolies, and noble houses. House Luna sits in the third group with a claimed connection to the future of the monarchy. That claim is the house's own framing rather than an established fact of the setting.
The house is not one of the game's listed factions. The official Faction Gallery names only S.T.A.T.S. and the River Constabulary, and leaves a third tab locked with no label attached to it anywhere in the build. House Luna is a house named in character copy, which is a different kind of thing from a faction the game presents as a bloc. See Factions.

Scion of House Luna; official title "Luna's Scion", official epithet "The Goldbud" | The Detective's landlady, which puts a noble house directly next to the agency on Morgue Street. |
The house's name runs through everything attached to its scion. Her description opens on a rising crescent, and her skill and constellation naming keeps returning to it: Rising Crescent, To the Moonlit Court, The Captured Moon, Lone Lunar Shadow, Moon Freed From Mortal Dust and Moonbound Howl. The motif is consistent enough to read as house iconography rather than character flavour.
One further house is named anywhere in the material: House Flora. Red Rose is described as having close ties to House Flora, and lists House Luna among her dislikes. Two houses are named, one relationship between them is recorded, and it is hostile from at least one direction. Red Rose also appears to run an assassination business, which gives that hostility a sharper edge than court rivalry.
Cynthia II's titles, her description and the crescent line are official character copy. The Red Rose profile that names House Flora is transcribed from the second closed beta build.
No head of house, seat, holdings or heraldry has been published for either family.
The monarch attested in official copy is Queen Feliana. How the noble houses stand in relation to her court is not documented.
