Cynthia II
September 7, 2026 at 01:26 AM
Corrected the class and element mix-up (Witness is her class; the Reactor attribute moved from Ignis to Alba between betas), rewrote combat around the Sweetness meter, added kit, stats, Psyche and Acquaintance tables and wikilinks
Cynthia II is a 5-star character of the Witness class in Silver Palace. Her titles are "The Goldbud" and "Luna's Scion." She is a scion of House Luna, one of Silvernia's aristocratic families, and the Detective's landlady. The second closed beta's reward announcement lists her as the 5-star Witness "Cynthia II | Luna's Scion", one of the featured characters on its standard banners.

Two labels get mixed up on this character. Witness is her class, the same axis as Hero, Guardian, Saviour and Outlaw, and official material states it plainly. Her element is the separate Reactor attribute axis, and it has moved: she was introduced as an Ignis character in the first closed beta and appears as Alba in the second. No official material assigns her an element at all, so treat it as unconfirmed rather than settled.
Cynthia II has thick ringlet curls in an ojou-style (drill-like sidelocks). Her design emphasizes her noble upbringing with refined clothing and accessories. She carries herself with aristocratic poise.
Cynthia II plays as a support and crowd-control character. Her damage and her control both run off a Sweetness meter that fills on its own and is spent on a charged throw. Targets caught by the fully charged version take Sweetness Overload, which raises the damage they take for the next forty seconds. Her ultimate throws a crescent boomerang that stays on the field pulling enemies together even after she is switched out, which is what makes her useful in front of another character's burst window in the switching rotation.
She is protected by bread-shaped kitty toys that appear during her combat animations. These are not decoration. They carry her passive, in which a knight named Sir Toast takes a hit in her place, and it can fire once every ten seconds. The bread kitty motif gives her combat style a playful quality that contrasts with the game's otherwise darker combat aesthetics.
The numbers below come from the second closed beta build. Figures from a beta are the kind of thing most likely to be retuned before release, and none of them have been published officially.
Name | Type |
|---|---|
Plushie Vassals | Basic Attack |
Sweet Slingshot | Skill |
Crescent Companion | Ultimate |
Cakeball's Present | Tactical Assault |
Toast's Lament | Passive |
Sweetness caps at 100 and builds at 6 a second. A level 1 charged Sweet Slingshot lands a small area hit; the level 2 version covers a larger area and applies Sweetness Overload, worth an extra 10% damage taken for 40 seconds. A perfect dodge opens a jump attack that interrupts anything already carrying Sweetness Overload.
Level | HP | ATK | DEF |
|---|---|---|---|
1 | 844 | 71 | 27 |
20 | 1,647 | 138 | 105 |
The first Potential break costs Rectified Essence Concentrate x1, Gold Mistletoe x3, Wax Droplet x3 and 6,250 Ounces.
Level | Name | Effect |
|---|---|---|
1 | Rising Crescent | Sweetness Overload raises enemy damage taken by a further 7.5%. |
2 | To the Moonlit Court | Ultimate charge efficiency up 30%. After a level 2 charged skill, the ultimate lasts 8 seconds and keeps applying Sweetness Overload to everything it hits. |
3 | The Captured Moon | After her ultimate, the whole team gains 20% ATK for 40 seconds. |
4 | Lone Lunar Shadow | Ultimate damage up 50%. |
5 | Moon Freed From Mortal Dust | After her Tactical Assault, the whole team deals 15% more all-attribute damage for 40 seconds. |
6 | Moonbound Howl | During charged attacks she takes 50% less damage and cannot be interrupted, and those attacks deal an extra 100% damage to enemies under Sweetness Overload while pulling nearby enemies together. |
As a scion of House Luna, Cynthia II comes from a lineage with political influence in Silvernia. The "II" in her name implies a predecessor with the same name, suggesting family legacy is important to House Luna's identity. Her noble status may provide unique perspectives during investigation sequences, as her connections to Silvernia's upper class could open doors that other characters cannot. Official material adds two concrete relationships. Her character title page calls her a great admirer of her cousin, the Queen, which puts House Luna directly in the royal family's orbit. The official character index names her as the Detective's landlady, which puts the two in daily contact outside any case. That same profile describes her as the much-loved scion of House Luna and a naughty prankster whose mischief is mostly harmless, and it treats the bread kitty toys as her most loyal entourage: anyone who tries to harm her faces their unforgiving sanction.
Her Acquaintance panel in the second closed beta build carries a short profile and a five-level affinity track. None of it has been published officially.
Detail | Value |

Likes | Cats, snacks, fairy tales |
Dislikes | Bitter things, falling over, hallways at night |

The panel's own summary calls her a young descendant of House Luna, spoiled by affection but honest and warm-hearted, with a quiet loneliness under the pampered noble persona and a wish for friendship. The Detective's note on her is shorter: a distinguished young descendant of House Luna, and my landlord.
During the Monotype Beta, Cynthia II was obtainable through the crystal exchange system. This required players to save in-game currency to purchase her, making her accessible but not free. Her 5-star rarity suggests she will be a premium character in the full release's gacha system. In the second closed beta she moved onto the standard Repertoire Beyond the Curtain and the standard Monologue Hidden Pages, recruited with Reactor Crystals, Standard Shots or Insight Shots.
Her official character profile gives the line: "A few older noble relatives still have to call me their auntie! Detective, want to join them?"
Her character title page carries a different one: "May I ask your wages, Detective? I'd quite like to pay them for you, if you'd just stay with me and play!"
