The Crystal Exchange is a system in Silver Palace that allows players to trade resources for specific characters. It provides a direct acquisition path outside the randomized gacha system, giving players a way to target particular characters they want without relying entirely on banner luck.
During the Monotype Beta the exchange was reached from the in-game menu under City Events, where the interface labelled it Character Exchange, and it was paid for in Reactor Crystals. It stayed open for the whole run of the test rather than rotating inside it.
It stocked exactly three items.
Item | What it was |
|---|---|
Cynthia II (Luna's Scion) | A 5-star character, later placed on the standard banners in the second test |
Riddle of the Other Half | A Motive, also paid out on day four of the same test's five-day sign-in track |
Riddle of Curiosity | A Motive available only through the exchange in that test |
The crystals that paid for it came from five documented routes in that build: City Roaming daily quests, the five-day sign-in event, city exploration rewards, Deep Cognito challenges, and open-world chests.
Several aspects of the Crystal Exchange remain unconfirmed:
Whether the exchange is a permanent shop or rotates with banners and events
How many characters are available through it at any one time
Whether prices scale with character rarity
What a single redemption cost, which the first test's interface did not display prominently
The second closed beta did not restate the Crystal Exchange by name. It reached the same goal by other means: the fourteen-day login track handed out a 4-star and a 5-star character outright, story progress unlocked assistants, and the banner families were split into limited-time and standard versions with their own pull currencies. Whether the exchange survives alongside that structure, or was folded into it, has not been stated.
The exchange is the clearest targeted acquisition route the game has shown: three fixed items, a known currency, and no randomness anywhere in it. It sat beside the banners rather than replacing them, and the random side is covered on Gacha System. Everything here describes the first closed beta build, which ran from January 13 to 18, 2026.
