Mining Requirements

Breaking Pokemetal deposits requires powered-up Rock Smash. Eat a Hamburger Steak or another Spicy-flavored cooked food to temporarily boost Rock Smash to break Pokemetal. Without the powered-up version, the deposits cannot be broken.

When mining Pokemetal deposits, players occasionally find Rare Pokemetal Fragment as a low-rate secondary drop. Rare Pokemetal Fragments smelt into Rare Pokemetal, which is required for fossil printing and large decoration items.

Tips

Mine Sparkling Skylands aggressively for Pokemetal Fragment. The dense cave systems on floating islands are the best farming spot.
Always carry a Hamburger Steak or other Spicy-flavored food when mining Pokemetal. Without powered-up Rock Smash, you cannot break the deposits.
Establish a dedicated Smelting Furnace for Pokemetal so it does not compete with Iron and Copper smelting capacity.
