Overview

Mystery Gift is a feature in Pokemon Pokopia that allows players to receive free items including furniture, decorations, food, and materials. This is the first Pokemon spin-off game to include Mystery Gift functionality. Gifts are distributed via internet connection or redeemable 16-character codes.

Your Nintendo Switch 2 must be connected to the internet and linked to a Nintendo Account to claim any Mystery Gift. However, a paid Nintendo Switch Online subscription is not required for Mystery Gift redemption.

How to Redeem

Mystery Gift becomes accessible once you reach and interact with the first Pokemon Center PC in Withered Wasteland. This typically takes around 30 minutes of gameplay for players who move through the tutorial quickly, though it can take up to 1.5 hours if you explore thoroughly before progressing. To redeem:

1. Visit any Pokemon Center and interact with the PC terminal.

2. Select "Get Items" from the main menu.

3. Click on "Mystery Gifts".

4. Choose either "Get via Internet" (for automatic distributions like the Ditto Rug) or "Get with Code/Password" (for 16-character serial codes like the Commemorative Gift Set).

5. Follow the on-screen prompts. The reward will be added to your inventory or storage.

An internet connection is required for both redemption methods. Serial codes are case-sensitive and always 16 characters long.

Active Gifts (March 2026)

As of March 2026, five Mystery Gifts are available for Pokemon Pokopia:

Ditto Rug

The Ditto Rug is a decorative furniture item available as an early purchase bonus for all players who buy Pokemon Pokopia before January 31, 2027. It works with both the physical game-key card version and the digital version of the game. No code is needed to claim it. Simply select "Get via Internet" from the Mystery Gift menu while connected to the internet.

The rug can be placed inside any building or habitat as an interior decoration. It features Ditto's signature smiling face and purple coloring, making it a fun cosmetic addition to any room.

Snack Set (Commemorative Gift)

The Snack Set (also known as the Pokopia Release Commemorative Gift Set) was distributed as a unique serial code through The Pokemon Company's X (formerly Twitter) campaign to celebrate the game's launch. The campaign ran on the official Japanese Poke Times (@paborPokemon) X account. Players who liked the commemoration campaign post between February 27 and March 5, 2026 received a personalized serial code via reply.

The gift set contains the following items:

• 2x Leppa Berries - Restorative berries that can be used to feed Pokemon or as cooking ingredients

• 2x Fresh Carrots - A food item that Pokemon enjoy, contributing to their comfort levels

• 2x Beans - A versatile crafting material used in building and decorating habitats

Each code is tied to a specific X account and can only be used once. Codes cannot be transferred or shared. If you received a code, redeem it via "Get with Code/Password" in the Mystery Gift menu before February 28, 2027.

Flat-Leaf Plant

The Flat-Leaf Plant is a decorative potted plant furniture item distributed as a pre-order bonus. Players who pre-ordered Pokemon Pokopia from participating retailers received a serial code for this item. The plant can be placed inside any building or habitat as an interior decoration. It can also be obtained through regular gameplay later in the game, making this a convenience bonus rather than an exclusive. Codes are redeemable via "Get with Code/Password" in the Mystery Gift menu until February 10, 2027.

Town Development Set

The Town Development Set is a bundle of building materials included as a bonus with the Pokemon Pokopia Official Starter Guide book. It contains 10 Lumber, 5 Sturdy Sticks, 5 Stone, a Storage Box, and a Workbench. These materials give new players a head start on construction during the early game. Each code can only be redeemed once per save file. The serial code is redeemable until February 28, 2027.

Daily Support Set

The Daily Support Set is a bundle of useful items distributed via a serial code in the April 2026 issue of CoroCoro magazine. It contains a Large Mirror, a Storage Box, 10 Tomato Seeds, and 10 Leppa Berries. Unlike most other Mystery Gifts, this code can be redeemed multiple times on the same save file. The redemption window runs from March 13 to June 12, 2026.

Limited-Time Events

In addition to Mystery Gift codes, Pokopia features limited-time events that add temporary content to the game. These events are delivered via online updates and do not require codes. Current and upcoming events:

Where to Find New Codes

New Mystery Gift codes are typically distributed through:

• Official Pokemon social media accounts (X/Twitter, Instagram, YouTube)

• Nintendo Direct presentations and Pokemon Presents broadcasts

• The Pokemon Company promotional campaigns and partnerships

• Pokemon tournaments and community events

• Retail store promotions and special collaborations

Since Pokemon Pokopia is still early in its life cycle, more codes and Mystery Gift distributions are expected as the game receives ongoing support through updates and events.

Tips

• Redeem the Ditto Rug as soon as you have access to a Pokemon Center PC. It is free and available until January 2027.

• You do not need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to claim Mystery Gifts. Only an internet connection and a linked Nintendo Account are required.

• The Commemorative Gift Set code is account-specific and non-transferable. If you missed the X campaign window, there is currently no other way to obtain it.

• Check back periodically for new codes. The game supports a "Get with Code/Password" feature, so more codes are expected in the future.

• Mystery Gift codes have expiration dates. Redeem them promptly when announced to avoid missing rewards.

• Limited-time events do not require codes and activate automatically when connected to the internet. Just make sure your game is updated to the latest version.
