Makuhita is a Fighting-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Guts Pokemon (Dex #125). Makuhita loves challenging others to tests of strength and never gives up, no matter how many times it is knocked down. It is paired with Hariyama (Dex #126) as part of the same family. While there is no evolution mechanic in Pokopia, both can be found independently at their own habitats. Makuhita carries the Build and Bulldoze specialties, making it a powerhouse for both construction and demolition projects.
Makuhita can be found at two habitats, both available in any area.
A patch of yellow tall grass growing in the shade of a large tree. This natural habitat attracts several Pokemon including nocturnal visitors.

Large Tree (any) | 1 | Any large tree type works |
Makuhita is a Common visitor at this habitat. It is available during all times of day (Dawn, Day, Dusk, Night) and in all weather conditions (Sunny, Cloudy, Rainy). Hariyama also spawns here as a Rare visitor.
A moving day setup with cardboard boxes stacked on a cart. The description reads: "Let's pack some cardboard boxes full of stuff and stack them on top of a cart!"
Item | Quantity | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Cart | 1 | Found in towns or crafted |
Cardboard Boxes | 2 | Found near buildings or crafted |
Makuhita is a Common visitor at this habitat as well. It appears at all times and in all weather. Farfetch'd (Common) and Hariyama (Rare) also share this habitat.
Both habitats can be placed in any area, including Withered Wastelands, Bleak Beach, Rocky Ridges, Sparkling Skylands, Palette Town, and Cloud Island. Both habitats are straightforward to build with commonly available materials.
Build either the Tree-shaded Yellow Tall Grass or All Packed Up habitat. Makuhita is Common at both, so it should appear quickly. Walk up and interact with it to befriend it.
Makuhita has the Build specialty. Pokemon with the Build specialty will lead your building projects. When you want to construct a house or structure from a building kit, a Build Pokemon like Makuhita is needed to serve as the construction leader.
Makuhita also has the Bulldoze specialty. Pokemon with this specialty can serve as leaders when demolishing Pokemon Centers for reconstruction. When you need to tear down and rebuild a Pokemon Center to upgrade it, a Bulldoze Pokemon like Makuhita is required to lead the demolition. This makes Makuhita essential for island infrastructure upgrades.

"It toughens its body by slamming into thick trees. It is a gutsy Pokemon that can withstand any attack."
Makuhita is paired with Hariyama (Dex #126). In the main Pokemon series, Makuhita evolves into Hariyama at level 24. In Pokopia, both are found independently. They share the same two habitats (Tree-shaded Yellow Tall Grass and All Packed Up) and the same two specialties (Build and Bulldoze), but Hariyama is Rare while Makuhita is Common.
Makuhita is one of the easiest Build and Bulldoze Pokemon to obtain thanks to its Common rarity at two different habitats.
If you need a Bulldoze Pokemon for demolishing and reconstructing a Pokemon Center, Makuhita is one of the most accessible options.
Both of Makuhita's habitats also attract Hariyama as a Rare visitor, so building them gives you a shot at befriending both.
The All Packed Up habitat only requires a Cart and two Cardboard Boxes, making it one of the simplest habitats to construct.
