Overview

"Grassy Training Field" is a request in Pokemon Pokopia triggered by Scorbunny in Rocky Ridges. After befriending Scorbunny at the Red Tall Grass habitat near the Pokemon Center, Scorbunny mentions hearing a strange noise coming from a blocked-off area. To investigate, you need to build a Grassy Training Field habitat, which attracts Machoke. This request is one of the earliest tasks in Rocky Ridges and leads directly into learning the Strength move.

Walkthrough

Step 1: Create the Red Tall Grass Habitat

Before you can build the Grassy Training Field, you first need to create a Red Tall Grass habitat near the Pokemon Center to attract Scorbunny. Use Water Gun on the dried grass patches, then apply Leafage to generate Red Tall Grass. Arrange four pieces so they touch each other in a 2x2 formation.

Step 2: Befriend Scorbunny

Once the Red Tall Grass habitat is complete, wait for a Pokemon to appear rustling in the grass. Interact with it to befriend Scorbunny. Scorbunny tells you about a strange noise coming from deeper in the area and asks you to investigate.

Step 3: Build the Grassy Training Field

Create a separate 2x2 patch of Red Tall Grass away from Scorbunny's existing habitat. Place two Sandbags (collected near the workbench) next to this new grass patch. The game will confirm the Grassy Training Field habitat has been created with a pop-up notification.

Important: Placing a sandbag next to Scorbunny's existing Red Tall Grass habitat will not create the Grassy Training Field. You need a completely separate patch of Red Tall Grass for this to work.

Step 4: Meet Machoke

After the habitat is built, examine the rustling grass in the Grassy Training Field to encounter and befriend Machoke. Talk to Machoke to begin the next request in the chain, which asks you to collect five stones from the area.

• Machoke is befriended and joins your community

• Unlocks the Collect 5 Stones follow-up request

• Progresses the Rocky Ridges storyline toward learning Strength

Tips

• Make sure you place the Sandbags next to a fresh patch of Red Tall Grass, not Scorbunny's existing habitat.

• If Machoke does not appear immediately, try walking away from the habitat and returning after a moment.

• The Grassy Training Field can also attract Machamp later in the game once certain conditions are met.
