Torchic is the sole Hoenn starter in Pokopia. Its evolution line (Torchic, Combusken, Blaziken) gains the Fighting type at Combusken and picks up both Build and Burn specialties. Blaziken is one of the strongest Burn/Build Pokemon in the game, useful for furnace work and construction.
Gen 3 introduces two dragon-typed evolution lines. The Trapinch line evolves into Flygon (Ground/Dragon) with Fly and Bulldoze specialties, making it a strong dual-purpose Pokemon for terrain clearing and fast travel. The Swablu line evolves into Altaria (Flying/Dragon), which has Litter and Fly specialties. Both dragon lines are found in Pink Tall Grass habitats.
Sableye (Ghost/Dark) is found in the Treasure-Hunting Set habitat and has the Search specialty, making it helpful for finding hidden items. Metang (Psychic/Steel) resides in the Professor's Apprentice Program habitat with the Recycle specialty.
Plusle and Minun share the same habitat (Picturesque Photo Cutout Board) and both have the Generate specialty. Building one of these habitats gives you two Electric-type helpers.
Ludicolo combines Water and Hype specialties, making it useful for both crop watering and boosting other Pokemon's mood.
Mawile (Steel/Fairy) is one of few Pokemon with both Build and Trade specialties, making it a versatile addition for construction and shopkeeping.
The Flygon line starts as pure Ground-type Trapinch but gains Dragon typing and the Fly specialty upon evolving to Vibrava. Keep this in mind when planning your roster.
