Advanced Farming and Resource Chains

Created Advanced Farming and Resource Chains guide covering Pokemetal farming, auto-farms, smelting pipeline, and Berry duplication.
Experienced Pokopia players have discovered numerous automation chains and farming techniques that dramatically increase resource output. These setups leverage Pokemon specialties, item placement, and game mechanics to create self-sustaining production systems. This guide covers the most effective strategies discovered by the community.
Pokemetal and Rare Pokemetal are among the most valuable materials in Pokopia, used for the 3D Printer, Wireless Power Transmitters, and premium block types. The fastest known farming method uses Dream Islands:
Travel to a Dream Island using Drifloon and a Doll.
Use Rock Smash on mineral deposits to reveal Pokemetal veins.
Dig 6 blocks down to reach the dense vein layer.
Use Rollout in a looping route to break blocks rapidly.
This method can yield approximately 1,200 Pokemetal Fragments and 150 Rare Pokemetal Fragments in 90 minutes.
Haxorus has both the Litter and Chop specialties. When placed in a comfortable home:
Haxorus drops Small Logs through its Litter ability.
It then processes those Small Logs into Lumber through its Chop ability.
Keeping Haxorus at high comfort increases its litter rate.
This creates a zero-input Lumber production chain.
Garbodor can create Iron Ore from nothing using this chain:
Garbodor litters Nonburnable Garbage near its home.
With its Recycle specialty, it converts that garbage into Iron Ore.
This creates a self-sustaining loop that generates Iron Ore without any player input.
For fully automated Iron Ingot production:
Glimmet litters Iron Ore near its home.
Minccino (Gather specialty) picks up the ore and deposits it in a Community Box.
Place a Smelting Furnace near the Community Box.
Torkoal (Burn specialty) operates the furnace, smelting ore into ingots automatically.
This chain requires all three Pokemon at high comfort levels for consistent output.
Mareep litters Fluff when comfortable. Collect Fluff and process it into Twine at a Workbench. Twine is used for Print Pattern Blocks, Carpeting, and various furniture recipes.
Visit Developer Island using the Mysterious Goggles.
Photograph every Berry Tree type using Item Mode (Minus button, then Y to toggle).
Return home and use the 3D Printer at any Pokemon Center to duplicate the Berry Trees.
Duplicated Berry Trees bear fruit after just 1 day, much faster than growing from seed.
This provides an unlimited supply of all Berry types for cooking and PP restoration.
Chain Name | Pokemon Required | Input | Output | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Lumber Auto-Farm | None | Lumber | Requires high comfort | |
Iron Auto-Farm | None | Iron Ore | Self-sustaining loop | |
Smelting Pipeline | Glimmet + Minccino + Torkoal | None | Iron Ingots | Three Pokemon required |
Textile Chain | None | Fluff (process to Twine) | Manual Workbench step | |
Berry Duplication | None (uses 3D Printer) | Pokemetal | All Berry Types | One-time photo setup |
Place Community Boxes between production Pokemon and processing stations.
Gather-specialty Pokemon (like Dragapult) automate item collection across large areas.
Generate-specialty Pokemon near furnaces and machines supply power passively.
Higher Pokemon comfort directly increases litter rates and work speed.
Check your automation chains daily; Pokemon occasionally wander away from their stations.
