L'Armoire

Initial version (2026-06-03): standalone venue page
L'Armoire is a clothing store in the Old Town area of Melino, the launch town of Paralives. Its name references the French word "armoire," meaning wardrobe. It anchors the Old Town plaza alongside its next-door neighbor, Market Antiques, with which it shares a wall. It was one of the first stores revealed during development and the only lot featured in a building timelapse video so far. See Town Venues for the full venue directory.
The store occupies an old building with a light beige color scheme, three floors above ground and one below. Two entrances sit at different elevations. The shop floor holds mannequins, clothing racks, and accessories, with three changing rooms on the basement level and a terrace on the top floor. The upper floors are cordoned off and inaccessible in the launch build.
A Parafolk can buy outfits displayed on the mannequins. Every outfit costs 50 paradimes, regardless of which clothes are chosen, and the outfit selection mirrors the Paramaker system. This makes the store the in-world way to change a Parafolk's wardrobe during Live Mode without returning to the Paramaker, and the mannequin item itself is also available in the Build Mode catalog for home builds. The shopping loop is documented on the Shopping page.

L'Armoire is open from 09:00 to 21:00. In the launch build's bespoke shop music, stylish clothing-shop venues use smooth jazz-style tracks, one of the per-venue themes that distinguish lots audibly when walking the open world; see Soundtrack and Music. A Parafolk can work at the store, but during the Early Access launch the job functions as a rabbit hole rather than an active career; see Careers. As one of the first stores revealed during development, it is also the only lot featured in a building timelapse video so far.
The store sits on the Old Town plaza, the same square that hosts the Weekend Market, putting it a short walk from most Old Town homes and from Market Antiques next door. As with every lot, it sits in a seamless open world with no loading screens, reachable on foot or by the PL130 bus line; see Bus Stops, Town Districts, and Town Events for the plaza marketplace.
