Overview
Vehicles in Neverness to Everness serve as both a traversal system and a customizable gameplay feature. Players can own multiple vehicles, modify their appearance and performance, and use them for racing, delivery missions, and general exploration across Hethereau.
Vehicle types
The game features several vehicle categories:
Muscle cars for powerful, heavy-handling driving.
Supercars / sports cars for high-speed performance.
Motorcycles / sports bikes for agile, nimble traversal.
Utility vehicles for rugged, all-terrain use.
The ntegame.com vehicle database lists at least 12 vehicles available in the game. Players can purchase vehicles through in-game shops using earned currency.
Customization options
Players can modify their vehicles in several ways:
Install new bumpers, spoilers, and tires for visual and functional changes.
Adjust suspension settings affecting ride height and handling characteristics.
Apply cosmetic vehicle skins that change the overall appearance. Some skins are integrated into the gacha board system.
Make performance upgrades that improve handling, weight distribution, and overall top speed.
Driving mechanics
First-person cockpit view is available as an alternative to the default third-person camera, putting the player inside the vehicle.
Drifting is a dedicated mechanic that reviewers described as "particularly cool," allowing controlled slides around corners.
Damage model means vehicles can have popped tires, take visible damage, get knocked back by impacts, and even explode under enough punishment.
Radio station is adjustable while driving, adding to the immersion of cruising through Hethereau.
Weather effects
The dynamic weather system directly affects vehicle handling. Rain reduces control and grip, making driving more challenging and requiring players to adjust their speed and cornering during wet conditions.
Vehicle activities
Street races are a regular activity where players compete on routes through the city.
Delivery missions require high-speed driving to transport goods within time limits.
Multiplayer racing lobbies let players compete against each other in organized races.
