Added male and female Dwarf character art
Dwarves are found throughout the continent of Aêthoril as master craftsmen and insatiable explorers. They are playable at Early Access launch and can take ten of the eighteen classes, the second widest list of any race.
The official material is careful here, and the care is the point. It says dwarven origins are not entirely clear, and that many historians trace their arrival on Eth-ur to coincide with that of the dragons, after the cataclysm known as the Burning Heavens. That is presented as scholarship rather than settled fact, and the phrasing leaves open whether dwarves arrived on the world or simply came to notice.
Their own creation myth is more specific. It places their origin in the great mountains of the Galdri Range to the east, where they were created from the blood of their ancestor god, a great titan. On his death he formed their homeland, his blood gave life to the stone, and the stone took the shape of the dwarven people in his image.
That myth has a dark counterpart. The same titan's blood is said to have run down into the darkest crevices of the Deep, where it pooled in corrupted stone and the first deep dwarves took form. The two races are not cousins by migration but by origin.
The lore attaches four enthusiasms to them: strong drink, fine craftsmanship, astronomy and exploration. Astronomy is the one that does not fit the stereotype, and it sits oddly well with a world that has two suns and more than one moon, both of which are described under Eth-ur.
Temperamentally they are quick to anger and fierce in a fight. The combination of craft and wanderlust is what puts them everywhere on the continent rather than only in the mountains they came from.
No physical description of dwarves is published as of September 2026. Male and female portraits exist for character creation. The creation myth implies a link between dwarves and stone, but the material describes that as origin rather than as physiology, and it should not be read as a statement about how they look or what they are made of now.

The Galdri Range in the east is the dwarven homeland in myth. It is named once and never described further, and no dwarven city has been published. Dwarves are not among the races given an explicit starting city, so the race, faith and class rule applies. See Starting Cities.
Ten classes are open to dwarves. They are one of only four races that can take the Bard, alongside humans, halflings and wood elves, and one of only six with the Spellblade. The list covers tanking, healing, arcane casting and ranged work, which makes the dwarf one of the most flexible starts among the launch races.

As of September 2026, no racial stat block, attribute modifier, resistance value or racial ability list has been published for any race in Monsters & Memories. The official race material is lore plus a class list.
The Galdri Range, the titan and the Burning Heavens cataclysm are each named in a single clause. The material never states whether the Burning Heavens and the great cataclysm that other race entries refer to are the same event, and they should not be treated as one.
