The Druid is the roster's jack of all trades caster: a primary healer with strong direct damage, a set of teleports that move a whole group across the world, and enough control over animals to be called one of the strongest solo classes in the game. The official archetype phrase is Jack-of-All-Trades Caster. Its trade-off against the Shaman is a lighter buff suite in exchange for that damage.
Field | Detail |
|---|---|
Archetype | Jack-of-All-Trades Caster |
Roles | Healer, Magic DPS, Support |
Playable races | |
Armor and weapons | Earlier class documentation, written before the 2026 rework, describes Druids as preferring leather armor while wielding blunt weaponry or specialised blades such as sickles and scimitars. |
Rework status | Detailed rework published and shipped to the closed beta servers in update 0.25.0.0 on June 7 2026 |
Identity and role
The Druid's role did not change in the rework. What changed is focus: depth over breadth. Generic utility that overlapped other priest classes went away, non-nature elemental magic was cut back, and the spells shared with the Ranger were reduced so the two classes read differently. The Ranger's field skills are accumulated fieldcraft; the Druid actually channels nature as a magical force.
Playable races
The Druid is open to Deep Gnome, Goblin, Halfling, Human, Troll and Wood Elf.
That list covers the full designed race roster. The Troll is designed but is not among the races playable at Early Access launch on October 1 2026, so the practical choice at launch is the remainder of the list.
Seasons
Seasons are the headline mechanic added in the rework and the thing that makes the class play differently from any other healer. The Druid always sits in one of four seasons, and the season grants a buff. Seasons are completely independent of the in-game calendar, and each Druid in a group can be in a different season at the same time.
Season | Bonus | Unlocks |
|---|---|---|
Summer | 20 percent bonus to healing and regeneration effectiveness. | Summer's Warmth at level 8. |
Autumn | 10 percent bonus to healing and regeneration effectiveness, plus extra mana regeneration. | No seasonal exclusive spell. |
Winter | 20 percent bonus to damage spells and damage over time effects. | Winter's Chill at level 8. |
Spring | 10 percent bonus to damage spells and damage over time effects, plus extra mana regeneration. | No seasonal exclusive spell. |
Which season you are in is driven entirely by what you cast. Each season is a buff that stacks up to a maximum of ten, and having more stacks does not increase the intensity of the buff. Casting on-season spells adds stacks and casting opposite-type spells removes them. When the counter hits zero the season ends and you transition into the next one, starting the new season with six stacks.
In practice the season follows your casting rather than the clock. Staying on the spells that match your current season keeps its counter topped up, casting the opposite type drains it, and when it empties you move into the next season with six stacks already in hand. You are never locked out of the other half of your kit, but you do pay for switching between them.
Mantle | Effect |
|---|---|
Mantle of Summer | Reduces the mana cost of Alteration spells, increases Armor Class, grants a Damage Shield, and sets your current season to Summer. |
Mantle of Winter | Reduces the mana cost of Evocation spells, increases Armor Class, grants a Damage Shield, and sets your current season to Winter. |
Mantles are on a shared 20 minute cooldown and last one hour, so they are the deliberate way to choose a season rather than a per-fight toggle.
Seasonal exclusive | Effect |
|---|---|
Summer's Warmth | A mana-efficient fast heal. It gains a healing bonus if the target is under any spell in the Touch line. |
Winter's Chill | Cold Damage plus a Movement Speed decrease. It gains a damage bonus if the target is under any spell in the Embers line. |
Damage
Spell | Effect |
|---|---|
Ray of Sun | Fire Damage. Replaces the Moonfire line. |
Swarm of Gnats | A Poison damage over time effect. |
Burning Embers | A Fire damage over time effect plus an Armor Class decrease. Requires a Fire Beetle Eye, no longer stacks up to three times, and synergises with Winter's Chill. |
Gust of Wind | Magic Damage that interrupts casting. |
Lightning Strike | Electric Damage to the target and those around it. It can only be used outdoors and is the Druid's only area effect. |
Healing
Spell | Effect |
|---|---|
Heal | The standard heal, available in every season. |
Touch of Nature | Burst healing plus a short heal over time. |
Regeneration | A long-duration regeneration that ticks between pulls. |
Travel and utility
The Druid is one of the two classes that move groups across the world rather than around a fight. Its retained transport list names two destinations directly, which are confirmed places in the world: Evershade Weald and Sungreet Strand.
Line | Effect |
|---|---|
Ring of Evershade Weald, Ring of Sungreet Strand | Self teleport to that destination. |
Circle of Evershade Weald, Circle of Sungreet Strand | Group teleport to that destination. |
Sanctuary: Evershade Weald, Sanctuary: Sungreet Strand | Group relocation to that destination. |
Gate, Exodus, Sanctuary | Self teleport to bind or to safety. See Travel. |
Speed of the Wild, Pack Speed, Speed of the Predator | Movement speed buffs. |
Preservation | Revives a target beast corpse, returning it to life. Shared with the Beastmaster. |
The rest of the retained list is long and mostly unchanged in function, though values and tiers may shift: Soulbind, Enduring Breath, the Camouflage line, See Invisibility, Sense Magic, Wolf and Jackal Form, Polar Alignment: North, Woodskin, Brambly Barrier, Cold, Fire and Poison Protection and Resistance, Element Break, Dispel and Abolish Magic, Cure and Cleanse Disease, Cure and Cleanse Poison, Snare and Ensnare, Snaring and Ensnaring Vines, Twisting and Encircling Roots, Grip of Nature, Lull Beasts, Nature's Calm, Charm Beasts, Fear Beasts and Invisibility versus Beasts.
What was removed
Class details below come from the ability rework that rolled onto the closed beta servers through 2026. The developers state plainly that there is a high probability some aspects will change before they reach the beta servers, so treat specific ability behaviour as a snapshot of the beta build rather than a settled launch state.
Removed | Reason given |
|---|---|
Nature's Respite | An instant heal on a five-minute cooldown that felt out of character for the class. |
Area effect Lull and Irresistible Lull | Lulls have been overly powerful and diminish the danger the team wants in the game. The Druid keeps a strong outdoor lull and a beast-specific lull. |
Bear Pet | Part of the roster-wide pet consolidation. The team ended up with more pets than it ever intended. |
Tree Form | Removed for now. The team has said it will be added back in the future as a quested spell. |
Brambly Tunic | Merged into the two Mantles. |
Cure Blindness | Removed across every class that had it. |
Whispers of Eth-es, Beast Speech, Strength Buff, Summon Cureberries, Summon Food, Summon Drink, turning other players into animals | Cut as generic or off-theme utility. |
Playing a Druid
Druids are one of the seven true caster classes, so they receive cantrips and keep one memorised spell through death, with the first granted at level 4. Combined with Gate and the group teleports, that makes a Druid unusually good at cleaning up after a bad pull. See Death Penalty.
Solo, the class leans on control over animals, snares and its own healing. In a group it is the flexible seat: it can be the main healer, the second healer who also nukes, or the travel utility that saves an hour of running. See Grouping, Combat, Experience and Leveling and Classes.
