This page tracks the post-launch updates to Mistfall Hunter since its July 29, 2026 release. It covers content additions, class balance changes, and the fixes the developers have shipped, in reverse order.
August 6, 2026 live update
A no-downtime update at 09:00 UTC, followed by a client update through each platform's store.
New content: Dried Flower Knots began dropping, opening Mist Lord challenges in Einherjar mode.
Class balance:
Blackarrow: Steel Arrow lost the impact effect on uncharged shots, and the impact on fully charged shots was slightly reduced. Fixes covered abnormal displacement when jumping after a side dodge, and a stray collision prompt when aiming at stealthed units.
Withered Knight: Sprinting Slash and Withering Mark both had their Energy costs slightly reduced. Fixes covered skills catching on obstacles and launching characters into the air, casts being cut short by the Inspect action, and Thorn Guide being able to drag Richie the Merchant.
Mercenary: Fixed Sword and Shield triggering auto-blocks in specific circumstances.
Sorcerer: Fixed the Stardust playstyle being unable to use a charged Meteor Charm in specific circumstances.
The developers noted that a class going untouched in a patch does not mean they consider it balanced, only that it is still under review.
Critical fixes: A crash caused by the PS5 and Xbox friends list failing to retrieve friend information; Hallowgrove's Gyldenmist dealing no damage in specific circumstances; incorrect item stacking; a crash from gem affixes during matches; incorrect Allowed Combat Bags display for Brandrgarde in Cataclysm mode; wrong weekly task refresh times in Contracts and the Fate Chart; and gear looted from defeated rival hunters incorrectly showing as bound.
August 5, 2026: one million hunters and the season roadmap
The developers announced that more than 1,000,000 hunters had joined Weavereach, and marked it with a login reward of a Spellcasting standing pose, five Moonlight Nectar, a Pro Combat Bag, and an Advanced Combat Bag, claimable by mail until August 12.
The same post confirmed that Solo Mode is coming to both Normal and Cataclysm difficulty on Brandrgarde in the middle of the first season, in September, in response to sustained community requests. The developers flagged the trade-off openly: two extra modes split the matchmaking queue and raise fresh class balance questions in solo play. They also said stuttering and latency reports were under active investigation. The full season roadmap is broken down on Season 1: Soul Hunt.
August 3, 2026: fair play enforcement
The developers published a fair play penalty announcement covering action taken against accounts breaking the rules.
August 1, 2026: second wave of launch rewards
The second batch of launch celebration rewards went out to players.
July 30, 2026: launch rewards and first update
The first post-launch update shipped alongside the opening wave of launch rewards.
July 30, 2026: known issues at launch
Because the release build had already gone to store review, a list of issues found in internal testing was published rather than patched immediately, with an expedited review requested. The list included incorrect key prompts in the Sorcerer casting tutorial in some languages, the Sorcerer's Flameblade visual range not matching its damage range, an extra Soul of Return being consumed by repeatedly entering and leaving the area around the Soul Tree while summoning an extraction point, items not being splittable from the secondary menu, console matches failing to reconnect after a disconnect, occasional impassable areas during the General Harald fight, and several controller-specific problems including a crash on the Seasonal Leaderboard and gear that could not be unequipped.
Launch: July 29, 2026
The game went live at 6:00 PM Pacific on July 29, which is 01:00 UTC on July 30, simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S. What shipped with it is covered on Season 1: Soul Hunt and Editions and Game Pass.
