The Sorcerer is the spellcaster of the six classes in Mistfall Hunter, wielding a staff to fight at range with magic rather than steel. On the Classes page it is the caster archetype, and it splits into two paths that feel almost like two separate playstyles: the Elemental path and the Stardust path.
Elemental
The Elemental archetype triggers elemental reactions whenever its skills land on a target. The reactions for Fire, Thunder, and Ice each behave differently, and stacking those powerful elemental skills and reactions gives the Elemental Sorcerer both heavy damage and strong crowd control. It is the path for players who like reading the field and chaining reactions together.
Stardust
The Stardust archetype works around Stardust Magic and Stardust Arcana. The magic itself hits hard and brings major crowd-control effects, while the Arcana lets the Sorcerer skip the chanting phase entirely and instantly unleash devastating Stardust spells. Cutting out the cast time means the Stardust Sorcerer can swing a team fight in an instant, which makes it the more explosive of the two paths.
Paths at a glance
Weapon | Path | Signature |
|---|---|---|
Staff | Elemental | Skills trigger Fire, Thunder, and Ice reactions for damage and crowd control |
Staff | Stardust | Stardust Magic for burst and control; Stardust Arcana bypasses chanting for instant spells |
Second weapon
As of the June 2026 build, the Sorcerer's second weapon was still in development, so the staff was the only weapon available during the Open Beta. Bellring Games has said development on it has begun and that it plays closer to the Blasphemer in feel, with a style that differs significantly from the staff. Beyond that the details are not yet public, so the staff and its two paths are the Sorcerer's confirmed kit for the moment. See The World and Lore for who the Blasphemers are in the setting.
